Drake69 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 I did this as a test model for things since I've been away from modelling for a while and just getting back into it. Ironically, I built a General Lee from a Revell '68/'69 Charger a few years ago, and now I've finished building a normal car from the snap-together DOH kit. Weird. I have some decals I may put on the car, but for now this is good. Looks like I need to practice with BMF some more, LOL!
Drake69 Posted January 20, 2015 Author Posted January 20, 2015 (edited) Whoops! Meant to post some with the decals on it..... Edited January 20, 2015 by Drake69
kruleworld Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 nice charger. what was the kit like to build (compared to the revell kit you've also built)?
Speedfreak Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 For just getting back into modeling I think it looks pretty good Al. Did you paint it? And yes, BMF is an art form all to itself, it takes time, and then some.
Drake69 Posted January 22, 2015 Author Posted January 22, 2015 nice charger. what was the kit like to build (compared to the revell kit you've also built)? VERY EASY, and not too messed up in the mold department. The lines are very crisp for this kit so the edges of the car feel like razors sometimes. Nice. Those stripes are not correct for a 69 Charger, only a 69 Superbee. Yeah, I kinda knew that, but it was more for playing around with rather than being serious. Still, makes a nifty "what might have been" if those stripes were available at that time.

Fortunately I didn't have to use much Tamiya primer to give the car a clean slate. And I used to do really good BMF work if I say so myself, but everyone can tell I'm out of practice....
