Dandydan Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I like Foose, but I'm not always on board with his design cues so this is my rendition of his 67 Charger kit. I have some leftover parts from the Special Edition Challenger because I'm also building a Drag Pak out of that right now, and their new home will be in/on this car. Primarily the 6.1 Hemi, wheels and tires, and seats and center console. Thanks for looking!
Dandydan Posted January 21, 2015 Author Posted January 21, 2015 (edited) It took a bit of fiddling, as many people have mentioned before to get the ride height where it belongs, but I think I'm close. Edited January 21, 2015 by Dandydan
Dandydan Posted January 21, 2015 Author Posted January 21, 2015 (edited) The front seats and console fit nearly perfect, but the center between the original rear seats had to be cut out to make room for the new rear bench. Edited January 21, 2015 by Dandydan
Custom Mike Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Great color choice Dan, the wheels and interior already look great, and I'm betting the 6.1 is gonna look great in this baby!
slusher Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Cool looking build Dan, I like the purple....
Mopar - D Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I agree this is going to be a,nice looking Charger
Dandydan Posted January 22, 2015 Author Posted January 22, 2015 (edited) Thanks guys. Here's the first fitting of the new Hemi-thanks again for looking. Edited January 22, 2015 by Dandydan
Dandydan Posted February 14, 2015 Author Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) A little bit of exhaust work tonight. Needed to lengthen the exhaust slightly because the manifolds on the modern Hemi sit a little more forward than the 426.I cut the extensions from the same diameter sprue and drilled and pinned them with some small styrene rod to keep them in place once I glued them. Thanks for looking! DumpyDan Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Looks good so far, like the color. Is this the kit that has toughs Foose wheels?
slusher Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Looking good Dan, did the engine fit pretty easy in the Charger??
Dandydan Posted February 14, 2015 Author Posted February 14, 2015 Thank you both.Yes Carl, it fit really well actually. There was a mounting pin on the transmission I removed to let it sit down on the crossmember, and other than that very light clearancing on the front edge of the Shaker to clear the top of the intake.
Mopar - D Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Dan glad to see progress on your Charger it's looking good.
