brodie_83 Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 I recently went to one of the LHS and in the display case, I saw a Moebus Models 1956 Chrysler 300B kit. I remembered that Rad Rides by Troy built one of these and was a work of art! Had a twin turbo'd big block and a lot of custom touches. Here's the kit I bought: This is the car I want to build: I dont know if I want to build an exact replica or build it to something similar but with my own little twists...i'll have a bit of time to think. What are your thoughts?
High octane Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 I believe that Ramfin is also doing that model.
Fat Brian Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 I'm planning on doing something similar with one. There aren't a lot of body mods, mainly the front bumper and a mild chop, and the engine could be borrowed out of Challenger kit but I'm putting a Viper engine in mine.
Belugawrx Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 I believe that Ramfin is also doing that model. Yep right now it's in "on the workbench" Beautiful looking ride tho
Ramfins59 Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Brodie, you're right, that Chrysler by Troy Trepanier is a beautiful car. It inspired my buildup of this kit but with a few modifications, so mine i's not an exact replica. I kept the kit engine and the kit interior but put my own spin on the colors. Good luck building your model.
brodie_83 Posted January 25, 2015 Author Posted January 25, 2015 Thanks! I know Troy a little and he's a very cool guy and makes some really really sweet stuff, and its all top quality stuff...unlike the junk they send out of Overhaulin.
lordairgtar Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 I know the guy who owns the real car. He actually drives the car , amongst others he owns. He has a Boyd Coddington 48 Ford as well. Troy also built his 32. http://image.hotrod.com/f/10181115+w660+h440+cr1/0412_rodp_01_z_trep.jpg
