Mr. Metallic Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 How accurate is this engine? I'm thinking of transporting it into my '65 Chevelle custom(posted in the OTB area). Just wanted to know if there were any obvious ommisions or build issues. I know a few of you have built this kit.
Casey429 Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 I don't know anyting about the Trumpeter 6, but for a relatively cheaper alternative, you could try the AMT '60 Chevy truck. I know its a great little engine, and the truck has potential too.

That engine in the '60 Truck is not correct for the Chevelle, it is the old style 235 and the Chevyy II introduced the new 194 - 230 - 250 family of inline sixes. The 230 was used in the Chevelle and the engine in the Chevy II kit is the correct look.
