Making a decal

Hey guys I wanta make and Sanford and Son decal for the side of a pickup anybody know what font this is by chance ? gonna use it on a 50 ford the orginal truck is a 51 thou I believe different grill

I think that's hand painted and not a font. All the letterforms are different.

I agree about the font, I would just use that as artwork and maybe clean it up a little (but why?). great idea to do their truck and good to see decals already available!

edit to add: I notice, though, that the decals on ebay are not same as on the door shown above. don't know which is correct or if that is actually the door from the truck or what, but they are different designs.

Looks like the image you started with is correct. Lamont wouldn't lie! The decals offered on eBay are wrong.

If you're still looking for decals for this, I have these available. Both versions are on the sheet. Includes correct 1974 California plates. There's actually enough here for 2 vehicles.

Now , at the risk of knocking your exemplery work ; California didn't start using "month" stickers until calendar year 1976 ; two "year" stickers were used prior to that ( e.g. , "1973" and "1974" , placed one on the left placement , and the other on the right placement ).

Again , not trying to bust your chops ; just an observation .

Well I'll be dipped, I thought I had done the research....just goes to show, lol. OK...we'll call it a '76 tag then. That show lasted till what, 78? That'll work.
