new to modeling

hello, I am fairly new to building cars, I would like to find someone who I could email back and forth once a week or whatever for advice and help with some cool tricks. would also like to know how yall rebuild a kit once it has been put together I cant seem to get it apart without ruining the parts. I would really like to get into building a chassis from scratch, seeing that I do that for a living lol advice on how to make it scale down to the right size.

so a question I have is how do you drill the distributor? or how do you attack the plug wires to make it look realistic? and what should I use for plug wires with the boots on the ends
