Brian Fishburn Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 I wanted to see how well Katie can paint, so I gave her an open P.O. at the paint supplier, and the old shop truck. Here's what she did with it. I scratched a rudimentary rear suspension so it would squat a bit with a trailer hooked up So, what do you guys think? Has she redeemed herself as being more than just eye candy? Keep her on?
BIGTRUCK Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Really cool set-up Brian , that detail on the down spouts looks great
Stingray69 Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006  You sure that isn't real, lol! Looks awesome!

I had trouble seeing anything but URL in your original message...but then in my reply I removed the text after ".jpg" in each one. Anyone else have that problem?
BIGTRUCK Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Ya , just picked out the info needed , copied and pasted to view , I dont know what the extra #'s at the end were.....but on this kind of forum Brian can edit his original post removing the unwanted info , and re-submit ,then it should be ok.
MrObsessive Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 When posting pics from Fotki on this site..........you have to go to the bottom of the pics and hit "Share Photo" then copy and paste that URL here. At least that's the only way to get pics I have to show up here. Also, you need a paid account............Fotki won't let you link them on free accounts.
Brian Fishburn Posted July 24, 2006 Author Posted July 24, 2006 I wonder why I posted pics in another forum here the same way, and it worked fine. Oh well, now I know.
MrObsessive Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006  You sure that isn't real, lol! Looks awesome! I was gonna make that point in my previous post! That's what I thought it was at first.......a real truck and car! That's spooky!!
Brian Fishburn Posted July 24, 2006 Author Posted July 24, 2006 Bill- coming from you, that means a lot to me!!
Mj-Styro Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 AWESOME Brian!! I too had to take a double take! awesome job!!!
ismaelg Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Brian, Not only it looks great, but the first picture is so realistic I thought it was a 1:1 reference pic. Great job! She's a keeper! Thanks,
FASTBACK340 Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Same here.... that first photograph looked like the actual truck. Did you shoot that outdoors? The lighting & shadows are dead-on. And the building in the background is incredible too. VERY convincing build. You sure your not pulling our collective legs?
Brian Fishburn Posted July 25, 2006 Author Posted July 25, 2006 The pictures were indeed shot outdoors. Luckily 1;1 sunlight works fine in 1:25 scale Thanks for the kind words!!!!
LOBBS Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Wow, that first pic is amazing!!! Looks like someone got their hands on the shrink-ray gun.
Biscuitbuilder Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 I always figured that Katie was more of a hot rod kinda gal? Truck looks pretty nice, though! Biscuitbuilder
Brian Fishburn Posted July 27, 2006 Author Posted July 27, 2006 She is, Art- just wait and see. I just wanted to see how she could do on something that didn't matter as much. And, she DID spill a gallon of silver basecoat. She's living up to her nickname, that's for sure.
James Flowers Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 looks real to me at frist had to look twice nice work let her do some more
