rssschris Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Does anyone make bumpers for the MPC 70s Cuda without the bumperettes , like would be used on pro stock cars ? Thanks, Chris
gtx6970 Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 (edited) What years ? Edited February 12, 2015 by gtx6970
dimaxion Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 The only difference of the Bumpers from '70 My to '74 MY Barracudas / 'Cudas is the size of the Bumperettes . Thanx ..
tubbs Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 the only ones I know of would be the bumpers off the Johan 71 cuda. don't know about the aftermarket.
gtx6970 Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I have the MPC 1970 and 1972 , neither have any kind of bumper gaurd on them . I dont have one handy but I dont think the Johan 71 does either. I cant answer about the MPC 73 or 74 kits.,,,dont have any of them anymore. I have a couple of the amt snap kits and a few of the molded in blue HEMI Cuda kits ,,,and they all have the gaurds on them
Bob Ellis Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 You have 2 choices; 1- grind off the bumperettes and rechrome 2- Buy 1972 bumpers from Modelhaus
Bob Ellis Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Another thing.... As a fluke, MPC did the 1974 Barracuda kit front bumpers without bumperettes ( even thought the promo was correct). I am guessing that when MPC did the pro Stock kits, the eliminating the bumperettes.
rssschris Posted February 16, 2015 Author Posted February 16, 2015 Thanks guys, I filled the backside of the bumperettes , and I think I will just grind / sand them smooth.
