Mister 4x4
OK - so while I'm searching ebay for "junkyard lots" or "parts," I came across this which made me laugh: 1:25 1:24 G scale model resin police car box of donuts doughnuts http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-25-1-24-G-scale-model-resin-police-car-box-of-donuts-doughnuts-/181342038071?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a38d3e837 What other funny (modeling-related, of course) things did you see on the 'net today? oldscool
Saw 1/24 scale bras before A sheet of them in plastic... all kinds on the Internet. I can see hanging one from a 50s - 60s era car model mirror. Or lying in the back seat. Edited March 1, 2015 by oldscool
The70judgeman
I've seen the donuts before. Even thought about buying them for a police car project. Yesterday, I saw someone had listed "the best" paper airplane on Ebay. Literally, they're selling a paper airplane. I guess there's always a sucker out there to buy something. LDO
I was deployed in the National Guard a few years ago. One of the other guys was a cop. It was a really boring deployment, here in the states. We had lots of spare time on our hands, and watched a lot of movies. The cop told me he never had any idea how many cop/donut references were in movies. One that stands out for me is the super slo-mo donut falling to the ground in Con-Air. Tom Geiger
Ah, just remembered this diorama and found the pictures pretty easily.... From the Liars Model Car Challenge, 2000. A crime scene....
Ramfins59
Tom, I sooooo remember that diorama and was going to mention it in this thread until I saw your picture... the picture is way better than just a description of the diorama. Poor little jelly donuts got squished... what a tragedy...!!!
