hobbybobby Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 (edited) Mountain Mover Tom Daniel, ~1972, ~1/32 Huge off road trucks are a gas! The first really big one Tom Daniel ever saw was one built by Euclid (a subsidiary of GM), back in the late '50's, which had the dump bed filled with water and acting as a swimming pool. By today's standards that monster would be considered puny! The Mountain Mover, was part of the Snap Tite construction vehicle series... These kits were only produced in 1972 and have never been re-issued, so they are kind of hard to find. This is my version, a few small changes and a new base, hope, you like it! disabled modeler Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Very very cool...! I built some of those series kits as a kid and loved them...
TooOld Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Great job ! Your detailing really make this stand out from a stock build.
randx0 Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Thanks for sharing this , I hadn't seen this one before . I don't build these but I always appreciate them when they are done up nice like this one.
bobthehobbyguy Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Love it. Was it a Tom Daniel kit? Don't remember seeing this before.
hobbybobby Posted March 8, 2015 Author Posted March 8, 2015 Thank you very much for the kind words! Love it. Was it a Tom Daniel kit? Don't remember seeing this before. Yes, this is Tom's design, as mentioned above, and, yes, the kit was 42 years in the box...
