Really depends on which part of the mockup I'm doing, and whether it's going to have to be handled during fitting of more components.

Rubber cement, Elmers White glue (or other PVA glues), Elmer's Glue Pen, and regular liquid cement (just a TINY drop) all get used during fitting and mockup on my bench.

I generally use elmers white glue or just a tiny bit of thickish super glue. that will break apart easily if lateral tension is applied to it, and its easy to clean up. white glue is much easier of course but it doesn't stand up to much handling.

I drill and pin allot so the parts stay together without glue. I also have made tabs and other mechanical ways of holding parts together without glue. I especially like a mechanical way to attach the body to the chassis without ever using glue. You can use Micro Scale Liquitape to hold stuff temporarily

The pins are glued into the pieces they are in. They fit tight into the mating part. Some parts never even get glued.
