Fat Brian Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 I tried to get in touch with Kelly about placing an order two weeks ago and haven't heard anything back. I know Eric was having some health problems a while back, I was wondering if anyone knew anything more.
Petetrucker07 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 I ordered stuff a few months ago, order came through in a decent amount of time. I know they have been having health issues and stuff. I hope they are doing well. They have some great stuff. I was gonna be ordering from them in a few months again.
guitarsam326 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 They seem like super nice people, I haven't ordered from them but I have talked with them before, they live about 45 minutes from me.
Fat Brian Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 Eric and Kelly are great, I got to meet them at a show in Clemmons NC. I hope they're doing well, I know they've been having some issues lately.
av405 Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I emailed them on Tuesday about an inquiry but still have not received a reply. I was really interested in two of their cabs. I hope things are well and that I can hear back soon.
av405 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I sent a follow-up email and still no answer. I hope all is well.
Petetrucker07 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I've heard calling them works. I called once, answering machine picked up. Started to leave a message, when porky pick up. He did say he's not involved in the business much anymore and would relay that I called. No call back but an email was sent a few days later explaining the mold for the fenders I wanted was damaged. Issue was resolved, and parts eventually were shipped.
disabled modeler Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I have their old KW truck conversion...pretty nice.
av405 Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I gave them a call and left a voice mail over a week ago but still no reply on any front.
SpreadAxle Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 (edited) I hope everything's ok. He makes some nice parts. I have the 1958-'69 Pete 352 cab he makes and it's a very nice clean casting. Edited April 12, 2015 by SpreadAxle
av405 Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 They just posted on their facebook page with a new email address to order through: https://www.facebook.com/pages/P-P-Resin-Works/275972212451174?sk=timeline
Petetrucker07 Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Good to know they're still kickin. I need to email them to see when they're gonna have fenders again.
Force Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 I placed an order a couple of weeks ago and got a reply with a paypal invoice a couple of days later, I haven't got anything in the mail yet but overseas mail takes some time.
av405 Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 How's the quality? There's an ongoing WIP thread about a P&P Chevy C-6500 cab and the OP complained about the poor quality. The pictures didn't make the product look great: Just curious to know about people's experiences. Thanks
plastic trucker Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 I received my order this last winter and everything was great. The only thing that was missing was the instructions for the 60's 352 cab. And the casting was excellent on the cab.
Force Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 The quality is nice, I ordered a DD 12V-71 Engine, a KW Torsion Bar Suspension and a KW 86" Aerodyne Roof, and the only thing I can see is a couple of air bubbles on the underside of the edge on the roof, nothing else.
av405 Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Thanks guys, I'm just waiting to hear back from them. I haven't receive a response in a few days.
