I remember in the late '70s/early '80s my older brother built the Revell '57 Chevy (opening doors, hood and trunk) to match his 1:1 Bel Air. It came out perfect. He even wired in working headlights, which was a total mind blower for this young model builder. Shortly after finishing it, one morning he proudly displayed it on the rear package shelf of his 1:1 '57 and drove it to school to show his friends. When he came out to the parking lot at lunch time, the afternoon sun had taken its toll and it looked a lot like your model, Bernard. The roof was sunken down and the doors popped and twisted. He was heartbroken.

I really liked the body mods and color. Sure hope you replicate it again.

I've never owned this kit or even had the opportunity to look at the contents. Did it come with a custom rear end as depicted in the box art?

Nice! Reminds me of the '51 sedan that Posie's did way back when.

Yes, this kit is virtually unchanged since its release in the early '60s. ALL original kustom/drag parts are still in it.

Wish they would do this with the AMT '57 Ford!
