chunkypeanutbutter
With my newest project, I christened it "Feelin' Jeepish." It's a hot rod Jeep, and I just got the best idea. Sheepskin seat covers! Anybody know of any material that looks like convincing sheepskin for models? southpier
maybe check the closest fabric store? there's probably some ribbon with bound edges (1/2" = seat width???) that would look okay.
chunkypeanutbutter
Looking for something like this, but in blonde color.
oldnslow
Looks like you need some tan flocking material.
StevenGuthmiller
Looks like you need some tan flocking material. That's what I would use. Steve
southpier
no love for chenille?
chunkypeanutbutter
no love for chenille? It's nice to sit on, makes nice blankets and pillows as well. However, seeing the flocking or embossing powder, I think I'll take that route.
Erik Smith
If you haven't seen this model being built: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=53895&page=23 You're missing out. Near the end, Shawn has created sheepskin seat covers. They look quite nice.
Tom Geiger
I did the front seats on this Chevette to represent those fake sheepskin seat covers that we had in the 1980s. It's just gray flocking put on thick and held in place with hairspray.

Tom Geiger
Eric Hansen just posted this photo in my Jeep reference pix thread. You judge if I got the look right on my model! Edited December 27, 2014 by Tom Geiger
