rusted Destroyer

Recommended Posts

thought some around here might enjoy a look at this. i came up with my own rusting technique, i filed on an old piece of cast iron until i had a nice pile if filings. then a very lite coat of dull-kote was brushed on and the iron sprinkled on that. put it outside for a few days of rain and there ya go.

Well, that's an interesting approach. But one thing occurs to me. That kind of heavy scale rust would only occur if the vehicle was submerged for a long time, in which case the sides and all surfaces under water would be equally heavily scaled/scaly. So it seems to me, anyway.

the tires were cast by a friend named Mark Gosselin over on facebook, i'm not sure what he used for a master. they are supposed to be replicas of the transport tires for monster trucks while in the trailer.

and yes Daniel, post away :D
