knarf Posted August 13, 2014 Share Posted August 13, 2014 thought some around here might enjoy a look at this. i came up with my own rusting technique, i filed on an old piece of cast iron until i had a nice pile if filings. then a very lite coat of dull-kote was brushed on and the iron sprinkled on that. put it outside for a few days of rain and there ya go. enjoy Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That kind of heavy scale rust would only occur if the vehicle was submerged for a long time, in which case the sides and all surfaces under water would be equally heavily scaled/scaly.
