Resin LS7/T-56 Crate Motor from VCG Resins-LS9 coming soon

Recommended Posts

I did a quick Google search and found a few places selling the LS9 as a crate motor. I know the ZR59 SEMA Vette that is inspiration for my own '59 Vette used one. The Stielow Camaros use the LS9 upper on the LS7 427 block.

The ls9 is available as a crate motor, as far as I'm concerned that is a viable option for what we are doing. If someone is ponying up the coin for a crate motor like that, the only reason not to get a ls9 is cost. Most lsa conversions will probably come from wrecked cars out in the 1:1 world

A magnason supercharger is a pretty common blower too, in fact probably more popular than a ls9 or lsa. Most would probably go ls3 and a Maggie really.

Basically what I'm seeing is necessary to do an LS9 crate motor in scale is to raid the ZR1 kit for the manifold pieces, front cover and belt/pulley assemblies.

Ok don't worry, I opened my eyes and seen the link on the main page :blink:

Yep, you can officially place orders tomorrow the 24th for the LS7 with the manual T-56 six-speed. As soon as Manny let's me know the six-speed automatic 6L80 version is good to go, I'll post it here as well.

The LS7 crate motor and the pair of six-speed trannys (T-56 manual and 6L80 auto) are now available. A supercharged LS9 is also a go once I get the parts to Manny.

Hi,

I'm really interested in these - will be good for serveral projects! I've got a 2010 Camaro that I've back-halved and got all the clean-up work done for and was about to kit-bash engines until I read about this offering. Will be very interested in a supercharged one for this project!

I didn't know about this particular aftermarket supplier and have had at look at their website - looks like a lot of good stuff - thanks for the heads up!

Fear not Good Doctor. I bought one, super fast shipping and really high quality resin. You won't be disappointed. Soon I will be posting my 65 Chev Pick up and you can judge for your self.
