oldscool
Had a wip of this one on MCM a couple of years ago but never posted the finished model. Almost everyone should be able to tell what kit this was built from. gus
Dr. Cranky
Nice model, it goes to show how wonderful a result you get when you go box stock.
W-409
I remember that WIP topic, it was great and I really liked it. Glad to see it finished now, it's looking very good! Of course the kit is bit simple, but I guess that's not a problem when builder is this talented.
Beavis
if that were a 1:1 i'd be tempted to buy it lol! love it man
carrucha
Cool gasser. Nice, simple and well built. I get get enough of '55 Chevy gassers!
JMD904
Thats a very nice build! Its all era correct too! I always liked that style of gassers of that era. Its so funny now a days how customizers lift a car for big ol' wheels. Back then, it was leveling and for bigger slicks!
hOLMS
I think I remember seeing this one as a wip....turned out great! I loved it then and certainly now. This is one to be proud of.
Pete L.
Great build...reminds me of the cars we used to see parked along the sides of gas stations all over the place when I was a kid !!! :D ps: Are you guys aware that the clear scoop in that kit was actually available in 1:1 scale from of all sources DON YENKO ? Yep, clear and in several colors with flange and all. I saw the add in one of my old car mags, if I come across it again I'll post a scan Edited February 4, 2012 by Pete L. AZ Boy
Real nice build, Gerry. It's got that nostalgia gasser vibe!
oldscool
Thanks for the replies everybody. I built this one to look like an old gasser that the owner put up for sale but not before he yanked his good wheels and replaced them with plain steelies. I still intend to add a radiator cap and a tag to cover the ejector pin mark on the plate. gus
