Just a couple of pics of some restored Merit GP cars. Have utilised Herb Deeks wire wheels on the Alfa 158 & Lancia-Ferrari D50. Still have a Lago Talbot & 250F Maserati to restore, I have photo-etched wires for those also. Hope you enjoy.

These were among the first model cars I built as a boy, but never like this. I built the Talbo Lago, the Alfa, the Lancia and two sports cars, the Aston Martin DBR2 (?) and the Lotus Eleven. All mine had the decals for the wire wheels. Yours are Gorgeous!

Now see, this is the type of thing that just makes my day. Very nice, clean, restorations. Thank you so much for sharing. They bring back some nice memories. Coincidently, I was just watching an old TiVo of Legends of Motorsports last night of the 1951 GP season that Castrol filmed. Pretty cool.

Thanks again and I second the request for close up pictures.

British Merite kits those?....Really nice, beautiful work.

Wonder who has these molds now: Humbrol/Airfix, Revell AG :P

The Alfa 158 & Lago Talbot have both been re-released by SMER, both these have the engine detail. All the others were available in resin but can't remember who did them. These do not appear to be availble any longer & I seem to recall reading on a forum somewhere that the original manufacturer of the resins has since sold the moulds. Shall try to get some close up pics shortly, seem to lack clarity when I take them!!!
