FASTBACK340
While returning from grocery shopping this morning we spotted this parked in a restaurants parking lot in Floral Park, N.Y. It's a `46 Buick converted to a Fire Dept. competition vehicle. I've seen the big-block drag cars, but not a vintage stocker. Underneath it was all original. I'll post a second set. FASTBACK340
This was just too unusual to not share. It was freshly done and very well assembled and detailed. Lots of effort and money made this a sweetheart.

Speedfreak
That is way cool, and a beautiful car. Thanks John
ChrisBcritter
Good Lord, someone sank some money into this (you don't want to know how much that recast steering wheel cost, let alone the chrome). Unless the grille was changed, this is actually a '47 or '48.
FASTBACK340
I could have mis-read the registration sticker in the windshield, which states the vehicle year in NYS, but what ever year it is, it's way cool. And I've never seen it before as I was only about 3 miles from my house on a major road. Drive that way multiple times a week. First time I saw it, although it DOES look freshly done. The aluminum diamond plate was pristine…..
