GrandpaMcGurk
Just checking out the new format...starts well and idles nicely. By the way, what's the red-line on this puppy? Merry Christmas everyone.
JamesW
Sorry 'bout that! Had to leave for breakfast! Thick sliced bacon, scrambled eggs with cheese, and home fries! YUM! All provided by Mrs. Claus OK grim, lets get back to the tuitorial... I just tried the "Snipping" feature for the first time. Then I saved it, and then... uploaded it to my photo host site (Fotki) Lets see if it works... Hope this works. BTW, I'm not sure if "Snipping" is a Microsoft Windows7 feature only... that is my current op sys. A BIG thumbs up to Bill Geary! I was wondering how to do a "Screen capture"! my new laptop doesn't have the keyboard button I used to use for the same thing. That's pretty much just a copy and paste deal there. I'm currently running WIN ME (I know, I'm trying to get with the times) and I don't have the snippet option. It'll get figured out eventually. Johnnycrash
Well, it's... Different. Don't know if it's an improvement. I don't like it already, that's for sure. There is no "New Posts" option. I would come by, click that, and browse... Now, I have to look in each area, one at a time, and see if there are new posts. Nope, not liking it all all. Just because you can change things, doesn't mean you should. While it looks snazzy and all, it's functionality has dropped significantly. Jon Cole
Oh look! Santa gave me... more frustration! I cannot get my sig line changed! I used the BOLD & CHANGE COLOR buttons, but it won't work. How do I fix this? I really am a computer dummy after all

tabsscale1
Where do we go to check our PM's and where is the link for E-Modelcars? Other than that, it looks great! Your PM's are under your name in thhe top right just click on the arrow and it scrolls down and you can click on it.
mountaindewd
Well.........I can see what I type because the options box is lower in the text box. Still, it's not in it's right place. The text box is up too high covering up the main header on that page. The home page looks like one of those pages you get when you click a link and the site is gone having been replaced by the host(?)with a related links page. What was wrong with the other version? Not that I don't appreciate your time and effort, but, if it ain't broke......... I like the looks of the page when viewing the posts, though would prefer more vibrant colors rather than the pale/light ones. Also, when editing this post(quick edit), only part of the text was visible in the text box because the option box here was blocking the top of the text box. Furthermore, with the light colors, they are hard on the eyes when sitting here staring at the screen for a while. Darker colors would be much more pleasant and less blinding. It's almost like staring at a light bulb. Compare the colors on this site to the site linked below and see how your eyes feel. http://pete389.proboards.com/index.cgi? crazyjim
I get the same thing with the box in the middle as mountaindewd when I come in the forum through AOL. If I come in through Internet Expolder, it looks okay. I can move around, get new posts, PMs, etc. without a problem. I like the old version much better. Jon Cole
I understand, change is hard. We sometimes resist change. I'm having a hard time with my sig line, but I am sure in time I will figure it out. Besides, I am about to head over to some relatives home where some techies are, maybe they will help me. I also have an e-mail from Gregg, he says all should be better by Monday! As Gregg might say, Mele Kalikimaka!

Smart-Resins
Im not happy! I can not reply to my personal messages. Also, where is the view new threads? I do not see it? Gregg
The view new posts is now View New Content. Is it this hard? Updates and upgrades are necessary I do not believe in staying the same. Adapting to what's new is the only way to survive This is the base for the changes to everything coming this way. As for it ain't being broke, it was broke, there was a lot of issues and problems that no one sees. This will take some more tweaking There will be new skins and templates coming soon. They're not cheap, or free (well, some of them are, but you know me, I don't go that route) So, for now, Just browse the forum, make notes of problems you see, and email them to me. Check out the new features and see what you feel works best. Please don't post manini comments on the upgrades here, it will take time to get things perfect. Email me with major problems. There may be some browser issues, I know Downie said that Firefox works great, and it is a lot safer browser to use. The links and other changes will be done soon. Thanks for your patience with all of this
