The Forums will be down, Friday, November 24th starting 8 AM PST for upgrade. We'll probably be down until 1PM PST, but it might be longer. I'm doing a major forum software upgrade, so I expect the forums to operate somewhat differently when we come back online.

I did a test on aluminum with Alclad Klear Kote, Alclad Aqua Gloss and Future. Alclad Klear Kote did awesome! Alclad Aqua Gloss and Future changed color, Future was actually the worst and it did lift the ink and run on top of color change. I will be using Alclad Klear Kote on the chrome raised detail.
Curt, Tony, Chris Carroll, Can Con and Snake45, I want to thank you guys for the input. It saved me a head ache and confirmed the valve cover I was leaning on using.
btw, I apologize for the pic, I had to use my phone and it's a horrible comparison pic.

    Which one is better?
My daughter was coloring and I saw all these markers and remembered someone using Sharpie for detailing. So I pulled out MCG photo etch valve cover and this is what I have. The first pic doesn't show the detail I'm asking about. The valve cover in the 2nd and 4th pic are mostly orange with Edelbrock and the out trim chrome. The 3rd and 5th all the raised detail is chrome. I need to clear this and can't decide which looks better.  I've been looking at this entirely too long. Which one looks better? All comments are welcome.

I've ordered ALOT of parts from them and their quality is Awesome!!! I saw your build theme with the Transformer on the engine and thought this photo etch would really look cool. I'm looking forward to following this build.

    My thoughts exactly!
I can't believe this!!! I am stock piling parts for the same build(same picture). I even made a gas tank out of brass. I'm glad to see this build, I'm definitely watching this. It's a great start!

Impalow built something simular, check this linkhttp://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/105692-1926-model-t-sedan-somesortarod-finally-done-only-2months-late/?page=6
It inspired me, I hope this helps.

Ebay has fuzzy nail flocking out of China. Make sure you get the large containers, the picture show the 12 small containers for $3.99 + free ship. I'm not sure the different colors or sizes, but the small might do a rear deck or rear floor board, not sure about doing both. Hope this helps!
