fishing line . got it off ebay.. i used a lot of different things through the years until i found this .

its crystal line for making necklace ..comes in lots of colors and has a rubber texture. like a rubber band . once u have your tanks built and the straps in place with a dab of thick CA glue the line to the back of the tank. pull snug around the tank and glue again to the back of the tank. the tension should hold it snug up against the strap . if not a little CA glue on a tooth pick will fix it.. any craft store that sells necklace beads should have it . or go to Amazon or ebay .

as far as the chassis, i would use the AMT DM 800 for superliner and for the 700 use any of the AMT cabovers . most resin cab do not have the glass..if they do it should say..

UPDATE . not much done lately, been having bad headache's and meds keep me knocked out. got the winch tower finished , fuel tanks ,chokers and chains . more later..

update. this is where im at now. cab and all other parts mostly finished up front..now own to the winch tower and bed..

this is my 4th one ,but 1st one on the big tires...send me pictures i would like to see your truck. are is it on here ?

i started this a few weeks back....it will be around 26" long with a wheel base of 408 ..i started by using the cab & hood from a Austrian Western Star (green cab ) i filled in the back sleeper door to make a day cab..the challenge was to cut the hood up so i would have a top and front part to go around radiator after add a little cut a little it all worked out.. frame is complete scratch built.. i used a Cat C15 for the engine..has a pulling front end with wide tractor tires. the rears are 1/32 bigfoot.. the 1st picture is the real truck ...
