  1. Gotta chime in here. I'm from Charlestown in south central area. About 12 miles Northeast of Louisville, KY.
  2. Andrew - according to the list on my box there are 2 (two) as well as 2 of the tri-blade. I've taken mine off for a project, so can't really verify the box list.
  3. Love those wheels. Gives it Character I bought just the cab kit also. I'm building it as a "puller". (like in farm tractor pulling). I've modified the cab ny adding a nose from a Dodge Ram P/U. Other mods going on too. I did glue doors shut. I'm using a Hemi engine in an under slung mount for cab clearance - so positioning is different. My link editors - apparently I did not insert my Fotki link correct ; please correct this for me. Thanks
  4. Danno. The brand is KISS. On the nail glue bottle it is white cursive lettering on a red background. It is made by Kiss Products of Port Washington, NY. Might be able to Google it for good pix. If I remember well it was in a clear plastic bubble pack with cardboard liner. I recently moved my hobby area to another room and haven't unpacked all yet. It cost around $8.00 i think.
  5. Mike, I used some of the acrylic powder recently. Bought a kit @ Wally World. You're right about the smell. Even outside I had to use a mask. I even molded a chassis and 'Vette axle mount together. Failed tho due too plastic plate I had set it on.Did not use the coloring, tho I will to help see things.Very good tutorial. Keep up the good work.
  6. Iknow the pain you are experiencing. My wife has been under the care of a hospice service for about a month and a half. Tuesday she passed away and we had the funeral yesterday. We did not expect her to go so soon. Fortunately we had a few hours with her b-4 she passed. Her Mom passed last March. One of her sisters lost their 30 yo son this past summer an now her sister. I lost my Mom about 4 years ago and seemed to handle it ok. I'm not so sure on this. Lean upon God heavily - I know he will sustain you. My prayers are with you.
  7. Welcome John. I think you will find most are amateurs of some level. However I believe you're very accomplished. I just build in general not following a particlar theme. Although, right now I seem to be hung in Kustomland. I assume your avatar is one of your 1:1 cars - looks neat. keep up the good work and smile upon us with more pix. Randy K alias Hoosierfarmboy
  8. Very pleasing. I'm a Mustang freak from the beginning. Neat build. Keep up the good work.
  9. I like the wheels a lot. I've commented before about using the larger wheels on older gen vehicles. I'm a big fan of the old Torq Thrust in the dark colors. However they don't go well on some vehicles. Anxious to see finished product.
  10. This is one of the best project posts I've seen. I like the idea of the Wankel Rotary in the Vega. Too bad Chevy didn't do that. Or they should have used the 151 Iron Duke engine to begin with.Looking forward to UG posts. Keep up the good work.
  11. The assumption is correct. Posted instead of replying. Apologies for error.
  12. Looking like a super kool project. I enjoyed the wankel engine pix - copied those for future ref. The art work was neat - projecting the final I assume. (almost hate to use that word lol:D ) I will have to be following this. Keep up the good work. I had a 1:1 vega wagon in early 70's. Stuffed a 327 in it. Finally traded with a guy for a more"sedate" vehicle. (Blew the doors off a Porsche one afternoon - thoroly enjoyed that). Randy K
  13. What is the difference between the terms Prostreet and Protouring, or is there a difference?
  14. How could ya put a value on those pix? I saved them all. Good drag history.
  15. As Highway said inkjets spray a 'liquified ink' onto a media. The thermal versions heat and somewhat melt an ink source. Most inkjet inks will not adhere to laser decal paper. A laser printer uses a dry toner and heat/pressure to adhere the print to a media source. Thus the laser decal sheet is made for that process. I worked as a copier, printer, fax tech for many years so I learned the different processes. Color units use 4 different toners to produce a color print. The old Alps could do 'white' in addition.
  16. I dig your avatar. My picks are the old Buick, '56 Chev, the Rambler wagon, and the VW with orange top. Is that a 48 Chev on a smoothed vdub body? keep a pluggin'. Randy K ps - have a grey cat also ~ not as fuzzy tho. I named him Fizzle when he was small because he wasn't fuzzy.
  17. Thank you very much for the info. Will be looking for one of the models. The pics were very useful. Sounds like a huge undertaking to drop the drivetrain ! Randy K
  18. I have been studying the newer vettes and have come to the conclusion the transmission is attached to the differential. Am I correct? If this is true, which current models are available? I have a project going on in which I will use one. Randy K
  19. Just wanted to say how much I enjoy this forum. I have received lots of ideas, instruction, and enjoyment from this board. Keep up the good work. Hoosierfarmboy aka Randy Kaelin
  20. I like that color. The shades and different types of burgandy/maroon are some of my favs. Neat use of materials for the garage. I recognized the 'plate' also. (learned it in 67). I'm also a fan of Anglias. Keep up the good work.
  21. As far as models, nothing. However I did find a mesh strainer for my Purple Pond. It's about 4" ID, 2" tall with a solid bottom. I bought it @ Dollar Tree. I will probably add a wire handle for retrieval and just take to my sink for soapy bathing and brushing. I had spied a suggestion recently about a jewelery cleanig bucket and thot a strainer would work as well. Didn't want to snitch my wife's from the kitchen. lol. Good Pik'ns.
  22. This is one of the coolest models I have ever seen, I'm a big NCIS fan, and this is to my fancy, as is said. Where are the electronics available? Indiana State Police have Mustangs which would make a good project. Keep up the good work.
  23. Jim: Ken Kitchen has several inline 6's here is the Fotki pic on the 170 - 200 ford .hopefully the fotki link will post too.i have trouble posting photos. Randy Hosted on Fotki ps. looks like it worked !
  24. i like this one a lot. I prefer the 56's. I see your from Pikeville, Ky. My wife is from Letcher county. maybe we can connect next time I'm in the area.
  25. Thanks for the info Bernard. The pix and the written info helped me to see the diffs. This will guide me in my build up. Randy K ps the Inliner tag added more info
