  1. That's the same kit I used to make Bumble Bee. I didn't dull the wheels down either. Yours looks nice. I'd really like to get a GTO and another concept Camaro and make the Saleen Camaro that was really used in the movie. Imagine that...Saleen building a Camaro! For reference: http://www.thechevroletcamaro.com/transformers.htm
  2. Well, it's actually a C1500 Silverado but, I like it. That long cab back makes it look like a hard top convertible..which would be appropriate for the 90's style. I used to have an 87 S10 that was Sherwin Williams samba green and was very close to that color.
  3. Just a thought...maybe spray some VHT Nite-shades in layers to the desired tint level on the inside of the window/light glass and then future it on the outside?
  4. I'm gonna say model for two reasons not even related to the bike. For one, the back corner of the wall has an inconsistant curve and scale to it. Second, I have never seen a garage floor that has that kind of finish and almost no shine...and the oil spot on it looks fake.
  5. No, sir, I don't like it...but I do actually love it! Looks like one of the trucks you would see in Truckin' that just got pulled out of a field, bagged, bodied, tuned up, wheels, and featured. Very nice work...actually I think there is a current truck magazine with a similar styled 70s Ford.
  6. This truck looks great laying rocker panels. I'd like to see one like this with 58 headlights. Since you are thinking shop truck, check out Chevy's website for the new 3LT Colorado green, that would look really good on this. (Kinda like a military green.) Considering the height of the wooden bed floor, it looks like you body dropped the bed for the raised rear frame. Are you going to be able to get away with only the stock floor body drop on the cab or are you going to have to give it a channel or traditional body drop as well? Oh and one more question...Are you going to do trailer tubs on the front wheels? Sorry, for rambling, I just like any Chevy truck that's layin' frame or rocker.
  7. Yeah, I was just thinking that if I narrow that section, it would be a very quick and easy way for someone that doesn't have in depth skills and quick access to materials. I noticed also that , the kit has a lot of long straight sprue tree sections that would be good for making the cross sections for the "bridge" in the notch and I can use the flat parts of the extra hood to cut out upper and lower bag mounts. It's an idea in progress but, I figured my question might help anyone with a similar ideas. If ya happen to have one of these unbuilt, take a look and you'll see what I mean.
  8. I don't have much experience modding except perhaps shaving and filling a litle. However, I did just think of what might be a great use for some of the left over sprue tree on the revell '49 mercury Special Edition. I am looking at the sprue tree that holds the driveshaft, front suspension and rear end and I notice that the outer edges look a lot like a step notch on an airbagged or juiced truck. So, I was wandering just how hard it would be to narrow this, glue it back together, cut off the extra, and sand it all smooth. I was thinking that, if it would work, I could use it to help me build a close replica of my 1:1 98 Chevy S10. I live almost 2 hours from my LHS so, I figured this would be a great way to recycle and make use of what I got. My question is, with a couple hours of effort put into it, does anyone think it would work?
