  1. That's the idea. If you're an owner/operator who wants to haul trailer for CN Rail, this is the scheme you must paint your truck. I've seen quite a few but no LoneStars yet.
  2. The last time I showed you any exterior progress, I'd shot the first of three colours on the truck. Colour #2 Colour #3. The full monte.
  3. Considered a D/R truck myself and I've got a friend who use to drive Express for SGT from their HQ to Toronto.
  4. Thought you might like to see which way I'm going for the interior.
  5. Thanks for the suggestion but I've got all the CN Orange I need courtesy of Jameston at Scale Finishes.
  6. Fear not. They're here! Or at least they're available for order (not pre-order) from Model Express.
  7. Even though no one has asked to see the MaxxForce engine, I thought I'd show it to you even though I'm still working on the paint details. In this pic., it's sitting a little high and forward of it's final position but you get the idea.
  8. Thanks and ya know, I don't know what's up with that. I know I didn't do anything to it but that's all I know. Maybe it's time to look into it. It appears that was an easy fix. Maybe even too easy.
  9. I've been very busy with works guys and the primer was fully dry today so the first of the three colours is now on the 'Star. That's a little bit of Kenworth white from Scale Finishes on an International. I won't tell if you wont.
  10. These pics were taken on Sunday and ZERO progress was made yesterday. Some progress was made today but nothing significantly different than what you see here. The chrome fairing was press fit into place just for the pic.. Today's progress has seen all the wheel/tire combos glued on and the driver's side fuel tank is also on. I'm still debating a colour scheme for the interior and the engine was painted today. A paint scheme for the truck has been chosen and based on the sniff test, the first coat of colour should be on either tomorrow or the day after. http://public.fotki.com/jkdezan/the_world_of_scale/cars__trucks/by_the_years/2010s/2010/international/lonestar/cn-contractor/
  11. The way it's going, there would be at least another week of sprue shots so I'm going to post one pic of each of the remaining sprues and provide a link so you can go see the details if you're interested. The part in the upper right is the roof of the interior. Decals. How's that for an instruction book? http://public.fotki.com/jkdezan/the_world_of_scale/cars__trucks/by_the_years/2010s/2010/international/lonestar/whats-in-the-box/ BTW guys, I'll start showing some in-progress pics. tomorrow.
  12. I'll make you turn over in your grave if I post my in-progress pics.. Which you will see when I'm done posting the contents of the kit. Should be another week and the kit should be pretty dang close to finished by then.
  13. Remember the "cheese grater" grille? This photo etched and chemically blackened bug guard goes behind it.
  14. Good question. Short answer - It's easier to build and with better fit than any other heavy truck kt I've ever built and I've tried at least one from everyone (AMT, Revell, Revell AG and Italeri). NOTHING sucks on this kit. NOTHING.
  15. Art Anderson brought it to NNL East. He asked the president of Moebius if he could give it to me to build and the rest is history.
  16. It was built by one of the members of the Tri-State Club (Mike something) and he did use the decals from the Revell USA Snap Kenworth.
  17. I council patience as I am trying to build the darn thing. The decals and the instruction BOOK have been photographed extensively and the fuel tanks are split in two halves but I don't think you'll be able to see the split.
