  1. I finished this one about three weeks ago and I can truthfully say that it was the easiest build I ever had of a Revell of Germany car kit. Paint is Tur De France Blu with a Rosso interior, both from Scale Finishes. I made one small modification to the kit and that was to lower the ride height at the front end.
  2. Repeat after me: No Real Competition (NRC). http://www.nrc-industries.com/ These are made about an hour North West of me.
  3. No. NNL East is on Saturday April 17. http://www.nnleast.com/
  4. Not only am I staying over Saturday night but I'll be at the host hotel Friday night too. Why? Because I'm driving something like 7 hours each way to be there.
  5. A "little" show he says. Last year, there was over 2,000 models on display with over 1,000 modelers in attendance. Too much stuff can be bought there.
  6. With practice (I've had my Aztec for 20 years give or take), you should be able to accomplish this: Or this:
  7. Nope. Only in our dreams.
  8. Mail order kits you say? www.modelexpress.net I say. I've been dealing with Dennis since he started. GREAT guy.
  9. That he did. The person who did it doesn't deserve to breathe free air ever again.
  10. Model Express is in Castlegar NOT Burnaby. It's not an hour drive either.
  11. Thank you. I was going on memory and I should have gone and looked at the kit box.
  12. Paint is Tamiya sprays Italian Red. No clear. Interior colour is a custom mix of Tamiya acyrlics. I think it looks better with the rumble seat down.
  13. He's still touring the world so it's possible but not likely as he's currently in Europe.
  14. I like the new shop concept. I may have to steal that.
  15. '67 Ford Code X Vintage Burgandy.
  16. A bad choice of semi-gloss black on my account. From now on, it's only decanted Tamiya sprays semi-gloss black. Thanks!
  17. That it is. Tasca Ford out. THE Ford muscle car dealer.
  18. The Calypso Coral is from MCW and the Twister Special decals are from Keith Marks. I still need to black out the exhaust tips. The decals gave me a bit of a hard time. More my doing than Keith's. Bonus pics.! '70 Torino GT along side the Twister Special. Grabber Orange or Calypso Coral.
  19. Exterior is Vintage Burgandy from Scale Finishes over an interior of Tamiya sprays TS-29 semi gloss black. Yup. It's originally from Tasca.
  20. She's painted '05 Chevy Corvette Electron Blue with Tamiya sprays aluminium for the blades. A coat of Testors One Coat Wet Look Lacquer Clear tops it off. It's a typical RoG car kit in that it's fiddly and I could have gotten better results If I'd been willing to put in more time.
  21. Eliminate? Not so much but it will help.
  22. Better safe than sorry is why. Safe your pennies and OPM (other people's money - gifts) and buy a Pace.
  23. Any chance I can talk you into ANYTHING by NRC? Wait a minute. I plan to scratchbuild what I want.
  24. Thank you and I agree. I could probably buy 12 of the kit and do each one differently. My next one will be a vintage police/police chief's car equipped as a 2dr sedan (as opposed to a utility sedan) and probably with the fuelie option.
