  1. Let's see - Art Anderson, Bob Downie, Bill Geary, and many more are no doubt deserving of such a thing.
  2. I agree. Kit it and I'll buy one or two.
  3. TV. Preferably a repeat of something good like the Mythbusters. I can snicker at them and work to my hearts content.
  4. Jackson wasn't a total slacker today. He finally started work on the BMF.
  5. Revell's '06 Corvette Z06 painted with Tamiya Sprays Gloss Black. No plate yet as it's going to have a custom one. Vermont SINISTER. Maybe you can see it here. Maybe you can't but Revell thoughtfully provided a decal showing the shift pattern for the top of the stick shift. What about Jackson you ask? He spent his time today working in the body shop. Because of this, five projects moved from "Paint in Progress" to "Ready to Build". All in all, not a bad day at The Can Am Garage.
  6. Someone finished his project today. Care to guess who? His name starts with J and end with a k. You can see the finished project in the appropriate section.
  7. Jack popped into the Garage for a few minutes today. He polished the sides of the car and did the marker lamps. Jackson? MIA.
  8. It's getting to be slim pickings in the parts pile for Jack. All he's got left are the sideview mirrors. Sure wish I could say the same about Jackson. He called in saying he was taking a snow day while prolly means he went out to old Peterson Field and worked on some airplanes.
  9. It's getting close now. Jackson managed to finish the interior of his project. Meanwhile, Jack is contemplating a test drive in his. With no glass in the car in a snow storm.
  10. Looks as though it's gonna take a day or two more than a week for the boys to finish their projects. Jackson managed to make some progress but... Not as much as Jack. Darth Vader. Your car is nearing completion.
  11. Jack's pile of parts has gone down and Jackson's has gone up. Jack's been busy. The engine and front suspension are all done. He hasn't made it to the rear suspension yet. Jackson's been busy too as he's finally started on the engine.
  12. Today was Jackson's busy day at least in comparison to Jack. Actual assembly should start tomorrow.
  13. Both Jack and Jackson were busy working in the Garage today. Jackson. Jack. As you can plainly see, Jack was more motivated that Jackson.
  14. That's a thought. I knew he could match colours but I hadn't thought about checking with him.
  15. Thanks! The 'Vette was painted with Tamiya Sprays gloss black (TS-14).
  16. Yes and no. Depending on who's name is on the car, it's either (Plymouth) Moulin Rouge or (Dodge) Panther Pink.
  17. I was hoping you'd put your .02c in on this one Andy. I noticed that you didn't make a recommendation for the Saffron.....
  18. "Would you two quit playing with "wingie thingies" and BUILD something for Pete (rson's) sake! That spurred both Jack and Jackson into action mighty fast. Jackson decided he should work on a rare '71 Charger R/T. Jack went for something a bit newer. In both cases, there's more done than shown in the pics as work on these two projects commenced yesterday.
  19. Having the polished aluminium parts professionally chromed is exactly what I'm going to do.
  20. I need to match the yellow/orange/saffron on the body sides. I'm leaning towards Ford's Grabber Orange. Tamiya Sprays Orange is too orange to my eyes. What do you say?
  21. I don't typically clear over Tamiya colours unless it's a metallic. However, if you're going to clear than I'd smooth the colour with a 3,200 grit polishing pad.
  22. You consider 70 cold? I'd hate to see how you'd deal with the temps. I get in the winter. BTW, it's currently about 27F or -3C here.
  23. I show a given car for one year which means once at any given show. For example: My '31 Cadillac V16 Sport Phaeton saw it's first show in November of last year. It's last show was earlier this month. It's now retired. It didn't make it to all of my regular shows as I missed one due to weather. Too bad.
