  1. I'd planned on super detailing the light until I realized that the globe is solid resin.
  2. I've had a dehydrator for years. I'm so back logged with paint jobs that it wouldn't make much difference. Thanks for the kind words.
  3. This was planned as a quick build but ended up taking longer than I expected. The Gumball machine came from Plaskit was was shortened to make it look just right. The Chief's Motorola, mic., cord and whip antenna were all scratchbuilt. Kudos to Terry Jessee for showing us how in one of his books. License plates will be added once I figured just where it calls home. Special Thanks to Charlie Rowley for the Bordertown Fire Department decals. It was mostly finished in time for Classic Plastic and it still managed to win First place in the Emergency/Municipal vehicles category.
  4. April 17, 2010 http://www.nnleast.com/
  5. Canadian Tire has a special on this week starting tomorrow. A CH twin stack (which is what I use) for under $100.
  6. Such a thing does exist. The closest club to me offers cash for winning the theme award.
  7. The body colour is Mopar Deep Water Blue from Scale Finishes. If you look closely in the side of the car, you can see diorama details in it. How did I manage this you ask? With a new way of looking at how to paint. You'll need to forget part of what you know and you've got to be willing to try it. I won't take credit for developing this way of painting. It was passed on to me from Norbie which is a nickname of some else who posts on this board. I'll be posting a How To paint the Norbie Way in a few days in the Tips section.
  8. The tow-bar/axle lift/wheel lift/under reach. It's the t-bar shaped piece under most rollbacks that lets them tow a second vehicle while carrying one on the deck. I'd really like to see how it attaches to the frame of the (tow) truck.
  9. Pat, buddy, Pal....Any chance you could get a pic. of the under-reach (axle lift, whatever you wanna call it) and how it attaches to the frame of the truck on the rollback?
  10. That white over green Kenworth is known as "The Mistress" and can be seen in action on "Wrecked!" on Speed Channel.
  11. That would be REAL nice in scale.
  12. Gregg was one of the people I hoped to see at the show and I did that. Didn't get to meet him but I was at the table behind him at supper on Friday.
  13. I'm guessing you must mean Friday MARCH 6, right Bob? The hobby isn't quite as bright any more.
  14. That just plain sucks but I'm glad that you're getting your money back.
  15. Thanks Bob. There was a slight mismatch on how the driver's side rear fender was supposed to fit. I had to remove the locating pins to get it to fit. That's it. I was more than pleasantly surprised at the engineering of the kit given it's age.
  16. That's not Hank Jr. but my shop manager Jackson. If ya got a shop, you've got to have people. If you've got people, you need a manager.
  17. Coming from you, that's a true compliment. Thank You.
  18. Lindberg's kit painted Tamiya sprays gloss black over a Tamiya sprays maroon chassis. The bumpers were left off as that was the preferred look at the shop. There's a couple of spots that need to be polished and waxed on the passenger's side rear fender and I need to do a little work on the hood latch/buckle. FWIW, the kit came with whitewalls which just didn't suit me as right for such a sporting car. There's a couple of things to do under the hood like a touchup and putting the horns in.
  19. Italeri's Bugatti Coupe Napoleon. Hood has been made removable, may be made operable. Right now, I'm working on the interior of the passenger compartment. Don't ya just LOVE the interior pattern?
  20. The M*A*S*H helicopter is the Bell model 47. It has an indian name but I can't never remember it.
  21. You're a modeler after my own heart Izzy! I wasn't aware there was a model of the Cheyenne.
  22. Believe it or not, I don't own a cell phone nor will I so long as I stay here. If I were to move elsewhere in the country, odds are I'd get myself one but not a dedicated phone line for the home.
  23. 16 and counting. It ain't funny no more!
