  1. How much is your health and safety worth? When you look at it like that, a Pace spray booth is inexpensive.
  2. Which they may well be. Model railroad "G" scale can range from 1/22 to 1/32. Give or take a few points. I'd want measurements before I plunked down my cash.
  3. They're still working rotating strikes. Supposed to be seriously considering a general strike for either tomorrow or Thursday.
  4. Right now, it's a rotating strike which means some will be impacted while some won't. It's unknown if it'll turn into a general strike.
  5. Beautiful! Looks very similiar to a mid '70s Ford C/Thibault that my hometown ran during that time period.
  6. Before I forget, I'd like to thank Art Anderson and Dave Metzner of Moebius for so generously allowing me to have the first production LoneStar.
  7. I know I've made you wait for the pics. of the finished LoneStar but IMHO, it's worth it. There's a few more details to be added like dealer tags on the rear mud flaps from my local dealer and it does need a trailer which will be taken care of shortly. I'll be sure to post it here when it's done.
  8. Thank you. Outdoor pictures are not something I am currently setup for BUT I am working on fixing that. It might not be ready when the LoneStar is finished but outdoor pics. of it will happen.
  9. Getting REAL close. Only missing the chicken lights and decals. Think I've gotta play with the hood fit though. I decided the kit mud flaps were too thick for my liking so I cut replacements from .010 styrene and then added weights cut from the same sheet followed by some BMF. Since I put the cab on to the chassis, I've had to actually do work on it in the Garage as it's too big for my workbench.
  10. I'm hoping the cab is on to stay but I'm not so sure right now as you can see it rise from front to back. The hood, stack and air cleaner are dry fit to see what it'll look like with them on.
  11. You want one with a NRC wrecker on it.
  12. I put the finishing touches on the hood and did the Bare Metal Foil on the cab.
  13. The clear coat has now been polished (with a polishing pad), glazed with Meguiars professional Glaze and waxed with Meguiars professional Hi Tech Yellow Wax. I am now ready to finish it up and it should be finished before the end of the weekend which would make a less than a month spent building this beautiful truck kit. As I said yesterday, my shipment of LoneStars has arrived. FWIW, they're not all mine. Half of them are for others.
  14. What about the contest in Fulton? Or is that not far West enough?
  15. Mechanically, it's finished. I decided to go above and beyond and added a drop of black to the center of all the dots on the steps and deck plate. 500+ and I dang near went blind. For what it's worth, my shipment of LoneStars has arrived.
  16. Finished the dashboard. Finished the interior. Polished the black and then shot on a coat of Tamiya clear.
  17. The finished dashboard. I still need to put the decals on the steering wheel. The cabinets with their woodgrain decals installed.
  18. Coming from you Tim, that's quite a compliment. Thank You. Why not? Someone going to do it. You may as well be the first.
  19. I'm glad you guys are enjoying this build as much as I am. On to the partially completed interior. While the flocking didn't come in the box, the laminate flooring decal sure did and it's beautiful! The kit comes with three decals for the I.P. but I think I can do the switches and etc. at least as well so I'm not going to use the third. The kit provides decals for all the wood trim including that little panel in front of the driver's side window. There's only so many hours in a day if you're wondering why the rest of the wood decals aren't on yet.
