This is a new BBurago 1/24 release of the 2020 Porsche 911 RSR Porsche factory team commemorating the first Porsche over all win at Le Mans in 1970 with the 917. The red and white graphics are pretty amazing and incorporate the number 1970 on top and under the rear wing. Also included on the rear fender in tiny print are the details of the 1970 winning 917. This entry qualified first in GTE Pro but had electrical problems which dropped it down in the finishing order. The 1989 Porsche 911 Speedster had the last of the vertical headlights and featured styling reminiscent of the original 1955 356 Speedster like the cut down and raked windscreen and only 2 seats. The model is a 1/24 Maisto and is labeled as being made in Thailand which is a little different.

Released as part of the Hachette magazine subscription series in Europe. 1972 Leo Models 911S – (901) S model 911. Another Hachette subscription release in Europe. 1974 EBBRO 911 Carrera RSR 3.0 – Track ready 911. One of the finest diecast Porsches in 1/24 scale. Highly detailed and recommended. 1984 Welly 911 Carrera Turbo (930) – Turbo horsepower! Great bargain at $9.99 at the drug store. 1989 Maisto 911 Speedster (964) - Porsche Special Edition model. Unusual for Maisto but a welcome release. 1990 Welly 911 Carrera Turbo (964) – Another bargain turbo marvel at the drug store. 1990 Corgi 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet (964) – Unique release in 24th scale by CORGI with battery powered lights and horn but unfortunately tinted windows and headlamps. Has anybody here run across Fuchs wheels in resin, preferably with tires? I've got 2 of the Revell New Beetle snap kits, one I kinda want to build more like a tuner and the other in more of a rally or safari build, but want to put the Fuchs style wheels on them. Basically, I want to do these kinds of looks on them. But use wheels and tires more like this for the off road stanced NewBug

Just finished my 4th build of the year. When I got the kit, the roof was crushed and the a-pillars and vent window frames were all broken. I felt bad for the little car and had to restore it. Paint is Duplicolor GM blue with clearcoat by Future. I could only salvage 2 of the decals, even with Micro Mark's help - the front Porsche medallion and the PORSCHE lettering on the tail lights, but that in itself was a lifesaver. Thanks to the members for pointing me towards a set of instructions. Comments are welcome!

Next one in the 'ancient history' series, I built this one over the span of time from July 1990-May 1991. I had a spare Fujimi 911 Carrera kit laying around, and for some reason I thought its front clip ought to be on a Tamiya Honda CRX. Don't ask me how my mind works on such thoughts. Porsche wheels and the remnants of a Porsche whale tail lip on the back. Naturally, this would be an impossible car if it used the too-tall Honda engine, but out of sheer laziness, I just built the bottom side of it box-stock. More of the chore of this thing was converting the right-hand drive dash to left-hand, moving the pod over, filling in the passenger side, swapping the gauge decals and other bits. Being my own harshest critic, I should have taken a very thin vertical slice out of the front clip to shorten the width of the wheel opening just a tad. Looks too gaping to me, which I cover up here by not showing a pure side view. The taillight lenses could have used some reflectors behind 'em to give 'em less of a lifeless look, and I should have run a bit of a black wash into the panel lines.....
