SergeB
Hi, Dan!Do you have a photo of the prototype with such a shortening of the bonnet? It would be interesting to look.

Superpeterbilt
Heres a few picks from my Dodge book.
Mopar - D
Thanks Terry, that first picture has the exhaust details that I've been trying to figure out thanks. I knew where the stack supports were located but not how the pipes were routed from the engine to the stacks. And they look to be chrome to. Thanks
Jim B
Looks like Dodge was trying to get some fleet work with a shorter hood truck. Like many of the manufacturers at the time. I have the Illini Replicas Dodge Bighorn, but i don't think I'm going to attempt this with it! Keep up the good work.

junkyardjeff
Its interesting that they used the late 50s cab up into the mid 70s.
Mopar - D
Sean I'm going to go with the short stacks to. I also think it makes it look tough.
gatorincebu
Dan, You are making some good progress on this one. I agree with you on the short stacks!! Makes the truck look bad aszz!!! Be Well Gator
Old Buckaroo
Sean I'm going to go with the short stacks to. I also think it makes it look tough. Now that will be spectacular ! Edited January 13, 2016 by Old Buckaroo
HJK
Hi Dan,the truck really looks gorgeous. I like it a lot with this stubby nose and the short stacks. Looks like a real power package. Can you please tell me, where did you get the hood ornament I can see in the picture of your yellow dump truck? Is it resin or white metal? Thanks for sharing.Cheers,Juergen
Mopar - D
Juergen, the hood ornament is resin and came with the resin bighorn cab from Frontier resin. I also have one for this one to.
Superpeterbilt
Its interesting that they used the late 50s cab up into the mid 70s.That cab was used on a bunch of FWD trucks also. There must have been a glitch at the Dodge factory and they made a couple thousand more cabs than they meant to.
Mopar - D
Terry I was thinking the same thing.
Mopar - D
Made a little progress with installing the engine and shorting the drive shaft. Also started the exhaust pipes going to the stacks. Currently spiltting my time with finishing up my Satelitte.
Old Buckaroo
I cant wait to see the stacks you manufacture up for this. Getting closer - those pipes are almost there.

SergeB
Hi, Dan!On this track, I would put the other tires. More relief. The more you have the opportunity. And this does not looks. IMHO.
Mopar - D
Made some progress on the stacks. I'm going to use aluminum tubing for the pipes I have not cut them to length yet. I'm going to cut them off like in the picture Terry posted.
