Old Buckaroo
Oh wow , I figured you were going to use a resin conversion. I am really impressed now - Nice work !
DRIPTROIT 71
Very nice work! This is one of my favorite builds, simply because of the subject matter. I like the narrow hoods, and you're off to a fantastic start!
10thumbs
Hoo-rah! Gino, I'm excited about this project and looking forward to a learning experience on bashing the AMT 359. I like! I think too the needle nose is a great idea. Mind you, a couple days ago I didn't have a clue what one even was.... That's OK, the main thing is to show some love for big trucks, right? I read you loud and clear! Michael
gino
thanks all for the kind comments. it's really appreciated ! I had a good day today as far as progress. I modified the left side hood and made a panel on the left side cab to install the dual breather setup. I also had the crazy idea to use w900 front fenders. here's what I got . Ace-Garageguy
I don't know much about big trucks, but I've always liked the looks of the needlenose Petes...ever since I was a little kid. I'll be following this one or sure.

Ace-Garageguy
What is that old saying "Welcome to my web said the spider" Bill you should get a kit and give one a try I bought a 359 snapper a while back, but I've been waiting to get into it until I had a little more knowledge about the 1:1s. Looks like a good one to do some upgrades on, a feet-wetting exercise. I'd really like to do some earlier trucks and I've got a thing for COEs too. I'm blown away by some of the builds over here. Inspiring, to say the least.

Petetrucker07
Here's a little GIF of that red Pete. It belongs to A&L Truck Supply in Tulare, Ca. I've seen that truck many times in person. It's amazing, let me tell you.

10thumbs
Terry, Clayton....those pics are just sick. Gino, good you're doing this now. This forum needs a needle nose real bad. That's just a killer look. Gino, I don't understand how you made the hood narrower up front for the needle grill. Maybe I missed something. Good work with the grill! Good stuff here.
