Decided I would build this since I could not get a trade I wanted. I bought it at a good price on ebay. It had the hood scoop glued together and the scoop onto the hood. The trunk was also glued to the body. Whoever glued these parts used some type of rubber cement and the parts came apart without and problem. I think I will build it with the lesser known "B" paint scheme rather than the "A" seen on the box art.

   Ray,

I look forward to seeing this build come along.

Having been a Nash,Rambler and AMC fan for

quite some time.

Are you doing this paint version? (photo below)

I always liked that look better!

Sorry Ray, but just had to add this other tidbit!69_AMC_Hurst_SC_Rambler.jpg

Hmmmmmmm an AWB Rambler. Sounds interesting.

Yup, Jimmy Flintstone has the body and has been going to cast it but not yet....

Note they misspelled "Road Runner" in the ad. Ooops...;)

I didn't notice that. Good catch. I know you like the "A" scheme better Harry but that is the one you always see. I think some folks don't even know there was another version and that is my main reason for wanting to do it.

You could even get the options by ordering

them separate and have any color you

wanted that way. But not the wheels!

We had a guy here where I live that had a

plain light blue one with dog dish hub caps

and painted wheels.

I'm sure the seats were not available either!

They were being built in Racine Wisconsin

at the time.

I managed to get some more work done on this one. Body was prepped and primed. Then wet sanded and sprayed white. The lower blue has been applied. I think it is a bit darker than it should be but does look darker in this photo than it really is. The red stripe will be done with decals cut from the decal sheet that comes with the car.

No complaints from me, Ray. I totally get your reasoning for wanting to do the lesser-known color scheme.

Build on, man! B)

I just noticed a boo-boo. I need to fix the blue on the front fender. You'll notice I brought the blue up too high on the very front of the fender. Hopefully I can fix it without doing more harm than good.

Did a quick mock up. Body is ready to be cleared. ( maybe tomorrow ) I see there is some much needed touch up on the wheel centers. Pretty happy with it so far. My favorite task is still ahead of me..... BMF. : (
