I just wanted to say that I really like this forum every body willing to give advice help with modeling problem or just talk it's great. Why is it people in let say my life can't be like people on this forum. All the people around me if they can't gain something by being nice to you or visiting with you they want nothing to do with you I either know all the wrong people or some people in this world are all screwup. Is it just me or has other notice this.

I think it's because on the forums like this we are all sharing one goal, which is to make our next model better than the last one, and to share and learn tips. It doesn't matter if you have a bank balance that reads like a phone number or not, because on the forums all we see are the builds. In real life most people are out for themselves and for that I blame lowest common denominator reality tv where it all something for nothing/selfishness/instant gratification and if you try that on the forums you get nailed for it. In a way we're all socialists when it comes to models

I agree...  Here we all are our own support group to help each other with advise, tips, finding things and sharing things.  We all share the same passion for plastic even though there are many different building styles or likes here...one can even learn from those outside our own building likes.  There are many very nice people here always willing to help out another builder in one way or another.  I have had (so called friends) that act that way before...to me there not really your friends if they can only think of themselves.  I have many friends here and they think of others often..makes them better people in my opinion.  Today's world has made some selfish and greedy...there the ones that loose out.  Me I couldn't care less if someone has a bank account that looks like a phone number or is penny-less...I treat them all the same and with respect...in the end since we all share the same love for plastic were all brothers.

I am 59yrs old never been involved in a forum it just amaze me the comrade people have for each other in good and bad times on this forum .Prime example what people are doing for Harry in his time of need. You will rarely find people outside this forum doing things like this for others.there are a few but that's it SAD.

And a lot of us have been motivated to attend model shows to meet each other.  In another thread, that appears to have disappeared, someone wrote that "99% of the people on this board will never meet".   I replied that it wasn't so, that many of us know each other.   It's a good thing to finally meet someone you have corresponded with for years!

You didn't list in your profile where you reside,  but there may be people or a club in your area.  Or a model show within driving distance.  You will find the same reception in person.
