regular guy
This kit is on the way to us.Cost the same as one kit from Hobblinc.Go figure. Anybody know? Do you get two sets of whitewalls or just one and you are supposed to put 'em on one model? Are the whitewall inserts or on the tire? Thanks! regular guy
' I believe they have to be painted ' Oh no Mr Bill!' That's okay. What are the 30 some extra parts for the '53? Guy in Manhattan Beach used to thrash one of these back and forth to work in the 80's.

regular guy
' Look here' That proboard looks like some serious modelers over there. Thanks for that link. Could somebody say in regular words what the other 30 or so parts are please? Look like cool Kelsey Hayes wheels for one. What color plastic are these 3 cars in this kit molded in? Grey, grey and grey would be nice.
Casey
Bob, check out this eBay listing for a good look at what's inside: https://www.ebay.com/itm/AMT-ERTL-CORVETTE-SET-WITH-3-KITS-53-57-63-1-25-Scale/232060666135?hash=item3607e4c117%3Ag%3AcNwAAOSwMtxXv9Kz&_sacat=2580&_nkw=amt+3+corvette+set&_from=R40&rt=nc&LH_TitleDesc=0 Looks like brown, white, and grey plastic: Optional '53 parts are the four Kelsey Hayes "Stripper" wheels, four Goodyear Rally GT tires, custom valve cover, headlight covers, grille, and steering wheel. regular guy
Casey 5 star answer! Thank you. Brown! Wow! Oh goodie! First kit for us in anything except white and grey.AMT wise. Comparing this 3 complete kit to Chevy version. Yeah. The Chevy has 145 parts each kit. Just got the Corvettes this time around. Does the '63 have an engine stand for extra V8 engine? We're putting the 427 in.
boss 302 mustang
The Ebay photo looks like the prior version of this offering from 10-+ years ago which I have.....I doubt Round 2 would be running the 3 different colors of plastic....BTW the prior offering included the MPC '57, not the AMT. regular guy
' Ebay photo looks like the prior version' That is from listing we bought today. No! AMT will never bring back 3 complete kits. ' the MPC '57, not the AMT' How does that make a difference? This says it has about 110 parts so it is no MPC '60 6in1.Kinda figure that. boss 302 mustang
The AMT and MPC '57 Corvettes are 2 completely different kits. The MPC '60 and '57 are similar.
regular guy
' 2 completely different kits ' What makes them different? Looked at AMT kits while I'm waiting and AMT has 'stamped steel' full wheelcovers. There was also a lot of Sreet Machine versions. I don't think that is in this package. The MPC kit was made in the late '90s and is a lot newer tooling. They are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT KITS.
regular guy
' They are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT KITS. ' Third time somebody has said that. HOW HOW HOW are they different? Besides being different brands. Let's say the one in this box is a stock build.(it will be here in an hour or two) How is the MPC different please? I looked and the MPC 57 Corvettes on Ebay look more or less like AMT Street Machine.AMT has snorkel hood(looks lame) and MPC has just the opening .
