MeatMan
I got my turbos plumbed and just wanted to mock the whole thing up to see how things are shaping up. I fabricated enough parts to make the diesel look decent. I wanted to run the injector plumbing but they are supposed to run between the head covers but there's no space for that. I fabricated the rear rims, and cobbled the front ones together from the custom wheels from my 56 Belair kit with some Ford hubcaps (thanks Stitchdup). The gas tank is fabricated from lip balm tubes. ryanm
Hey y’all I like the effort here. After a few weeks out of town for a death in the family I came home to a few smashed models not sure what happened but the 50 olds I started for this thread was busted up pretty good so I’m now gonna build a 47 Chevy coupe. Hope this one works. I’ll post some wip pictures soon. Keep it up and thanks y’all. Ryan

Any suspects?
ryanm
So here’s what I got so far. Started the weathering got a few ink washes to lay on top. I’m building this as a tail dragged hence the stance. The weathering reminds me of a cowhide so I’m gonna do cowhide covered seats and still have to figure out a power plant might do that olds rocket from the 50 olds kit we will see. Thanks y’all ryan oh and I think my dog got into my models can’t be sure but she looks guilty.
Paul Payne
I think a rat rod is a hot rod built with unconventional parts and not much concern for shiny paint. I'll dig out some photos of the one I built.
Paul Payne
Here's some pix: they are hard to see, but the shifter is a crank shaft and the beverage holders are piston rods. WAAAAAY too much fun!

Paul Payne
Thatz4u, I did complete a channeled 32 Ford 3 window with a piston shifter sometime before Lady Luckless- Remember the MPC "hollow baloney" tires? I used them in the front and the first Batman Batmobile tires on the back. The engine is the dohc king of the hill Corvette engine, but retrofitted with a big blower and dual 4bbl carbs, and a Ford logo between the cam covers! Here's some pics:
