I guess technically, it's a Mercedes SK1844LSV8. But let's just go with 1844.

Some of you will have seen this one in MCM Issue 218 that is out now.

 

Really good kit. Italeri have been getting a lot of mileage out of this one as they've been issuing versions of this for decades. Different roof heights, some with single rear axle, some with dual. 

But the details on the molds are still really crisp, and fit is still really good. 

 

Unless it's not. For the first time, I had a bugger of a time with an Italeri truck kit. The engine/exhaust just fought me the entire way. No matter how many times I test fit and glued, and unglued, and trimmed, and adjusted, I just could not get the engine plumbing to fit together. So I'm just going to call this a curbside build now.

Despite that, I really like it. And I still really like the Italeri truck kits.
