acmiaz Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 Here are a couple of Corvette C5R the silver one is the old Revell Profinish and the blue one is the 2012 release from the 2003 Lemans 24 hr. race. I touched up the paint, added decals and re-cleared the silver one. The blue one didn't come with any Goodyear markings so I added those.
Custom Mike Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 Both of them are gorgeous Mark! What;s the color on the Blue one, i want some of that paint!
acmiaz Posted December 25, 2012 Author Posted December 25, 2012 Mike, I sprayed the body with Tamiya TS50 out of the can then dusted TS 51 over the top to darken it a little. Sounds goofy but it actually worked. You also can order the correct blue from Zero paints. I think the actual GM color is Xenon Blue or 50th anversary Lemans blue. Thanks for looking at the cars.
peter31a Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 That's a sweet pair of C5r's! Love the racing vettes. Great job on them.

Danno Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Great looking 'Vettes, Mark! You should bring your models to Goodguys Spring Nationals in March and Desert Scale Classic in April. Show 'em off!!!
Chuck Most Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Nice! Just got one of these a few days ago and was wondering how it would look built up.

Show 'em off!!! B)Danno, Thanks for the complement. I used to compete at the Copper State back in the day and I have also competed at the Desert Scale Classic a couple of times. Really enjoyable events. I hope to make it to the classic this year.
