What makes a pro modeler a pro ?

Recommended Posts

Back in the 90s in Sacramento a friend of mine, Dave Reese built drag race models for money. He work was clean and he did it quickly. He got paid pretty good money and had a client list. He was a professional.

I could never afford one of his scale models, until he sold me a couple toon model he did.

I would add John Teresi and Marcos Cruz to your pantheon. Dann Tier aint no slouch either. In fact, there are a lot of incredibly talented builders on this forum. We are fortunate to see their work and learn from them. I myself am another clown.

Don't forget Bob Steinbrunn.

Might as well add Tom Piagari of the LMMMC - specializes in beautifully detailed stock builds with added goodies in interiors and pickup beds (look for a feature on his Subaru Brat in that other mag later this year, and some stellar builds at the Milwaukee NNL next month). He's posted a few of his builds here.
