Pete daycab log truck

[Q tip]

Started this truck as a side project and it transformed to this. Cut down the cab and extended the rear of the frame rails for a good start. The left over cab will be used for a future build. Pretty much straight forward build. Comments always welcomed.

What really catches my attention though is the frame color. What color did you use for that ?

Man, that looks great....A bit of a surprise, to be honest.....What a nice idea....Can't say I've seen anything but conventionals hauling logs.....This is a nice change of pace.....I like the decals, too....Excellent work and what a departure from your last build, too....From one extreme to another.....Way to show off them skills.....

I might've modified the decals so they didn't pass over the door window, but otherwise it looks good.

All those rivets can't be fun to deal with, though.

Looks pretty good to me. I also like the frame color. Applying the decals over the rivets is always a tough job to do. Have you tried some of the magic waters... tensol, hypersol or whatever the companies call it? Sometimes they work pretty good, sometimes the decals just don´t react at all. Nice build though.

Looking like a tough logger.

On decal/rivet issue, I like to sand the rivet detail down slightly where decals will lay so the decal doesn't have to stretch as much.

the thing with this is that i'm just kind of slamming it together. the frame on the tractor was a copper color and the trailer was vermont green. so i just blew gaurds red over all of it and chased it with sand/tan for the dirt aspect. when i started it i was aiming for something that looked good, but not too good if that makes any sense. and Sean, i've been here all along,just had some problems with my surgery recovery,so the meds they have me on turns my hands into paint shakers! LOL. gotta see the bright side.
