misterNNL
This all looks very tail heavy to me.I do believe a close model bulding friend of mine told me that some of the real boats were so heavy in the back that the only way to keep them from sinking was to keep them moving or the engine weight would literally pull them under tail first. DrKerry
Hopefully it doesn't run out of gas then!!! LOL..... I'm going with aluminum block and heads, intake and hoping it doesn't weigh out to much...
DrKerry
Have got a little bit more work done on this. Injectors and intakes are both plumbed now. Got a dashboard set into the top (59 Elky dash) also got the drive units mounted on back. Edited November 6, 2016 by DrKerry

426-Hemi
SWEET build! Any updates? I'd like to see the engines a bit closer and how you coupled 2 together for a build that I'm cookin' up!
DrKerry
I can get some better pics this weekend for ya John!!!!!! They really aren't coupled per sae as the rear deck and sides are covering most of the guts of the boat anyway. All I did was put the bell housings on the engines and there isn't anything beyond that. The drives that are on the outside back of the boat ought to look familiar to any Top Fuelers out there!!!!!!???? They are the bell's and tranny's off of a couple top fueller's that I had laying around. I need to make the discharge chutes for both of them yet but.... I'll get some pics for ya of what I have so far soon!!!!!

Gives ya the chills thinking about it!!!!!!!!Thanks for the kudos Ray, hoping to work on it tonight a bit more. I'm off work all week so I'll have time to work on it and my ramp truck I've been working on. I'm hoping to throw some putty the fill on around the dash area today and start getting it ready for paint. I need to get the 56 moving along with it too!!!!! misterNNL
I did a little weight checking just now and two Chrysler Hemis would check in at a total of about 1,500 pounds.I'm just saying that the driver had better keep it moving and might want to opt for "rolling start"water drags.Cool concept overall. Thanks for sharing.
