mackd
I decided to make the wings of more realistic Hood.First it was made with of styren 0.030 a scale its represents 3/4 of an inch thick. Not very realistic. My new wings are manufactured in aluminium of 0.011 represents 1/4 of an inch, very close to reality. mackd
Here is the finished Hood.I encountered several difficulties has make the Hood hinges and finally I found a method very simple. For the brackets of the Hood fasteners it is much more difficult, because the parts are very small. The rivet head is 0 "015 = 3 / 8 of an inch."I broke three drill to drill the rivets.Aluminum I use is a little too hard. gatorincebu
Alain, Once again you have raised the bar. The hoodand hinges are fantastic! A tip for you. When you want to work with aluminum. before drilling anneal it. That means heat it up with a small torch. This will soften the metal and make it easier to work with. You might want to experiment with a couple of pieces though. Be Well Gator
