The pod racer has no shortage of those lines. You could put lines on everything if you had a few extra kits

Thanks Gary!

That's True. I do & I have... B)

Body Vents!

These Gold Vent Covers come from the Pod Racer Engines. These Engine Parts don't show on the Raider Vette so I glued them here instead.

Here are all 4 glued in place on the Body.

The Pilot!

The Pilot is from a Tamiya Figures Kit. Looks like his knees are up too high...

DSCN8850R_zpshjk4n4kt.jpg

So I made a Saw Cut behind each Knee and bent the Legs down a little bit. Then I glued them with Zap-A-Gap. Had to cut his Shoes off to fit right.

The bottom half fits pretty good now.

In the Middle!

I positioned the Upper Body in place, but there was a big space where the belly should be. So I attached the Body Halves with a drop of Zap-A-Gap and then glued in scrap plastic to fill the Belly Space.

After grinding down the excess scrap plastic I applied putty.

Next I test fit the Head & Arms. I glued the Arms in place with a drop of Zap-A-Gap. Looks like I will have to glue the Head in after the Body is glued in.

Painting the Pilot!

First I Primed the Pilot with DupliColor White Primer.

DSCN8894R_zpsvfyzro0p.jpg

Next I painted the Pilot with Tamiya & Vallejo Paints. After the Paint dried I applied The Detailer, a Black Wash.

DSCN8906R_zpswpsk3yv6.jpg

Then I added Seat Belt Decals and sprayed the Body with Testors Dullcote. The Helmet was brushed with Gloss Clear.

I made 2 Flexible Joysticks with Gold covered string from the Sewing Supply Store and glued them in the Pilots Hands.

Great work on the pilot Ira. Sticking in my basic 2 cents worth, I hope the head won't be looking at the roof of the cockpit as it seems in the picture. Might be an optical illusion too. Maybe have it turned to the side like he's checking where an opponent is. Am I getting too technical?

Keep up the awesomeness.

Anybody notice a keyboard has a "$" sign, but no "Cents" ?

The Last Detail!

Here is the Pilot glued in place.

DSCN8922R_zpsqnqqclse.jpg

I added a Radar Screen, Speakers, Buttons, Knobs, Gauges and other Details to the Cockpit. There are Photos cut to fit and attached with 2 Sided Tape.

I cut off the old Instrument Panel and replaced it with a larger one, big enough for the Blue Screen. Now I just need to do some touch-up and the RAIDER VETTE is Finished!
