Brizio Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 (edited) Time for a new project... Code Name "Bob Fault"... Roberto C aka Bob, is a friend of mine from Italy, and he build great military subject above all in 1/48 scale. Watching his models, I start to want to build one myself, so he kind of challenged me... I have this Fiat kit, that I think should be a good fast project to do.This is one new kit that came out few years ago, made by Italeri in 1/35. Pretty nice kit, but there are a lot of flash, more that a common kit in 1/24. The box... The back of the box with the four option to build this car. Chassis with suspension attached. The instruction says to glue the 5 body panel pieces on the floor pan, but I think is better glue all them together. Edited February 18, 2015 by Brizio
Brizio Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 Neat 'lil project. Keep us posted. Thank you James! Start to cut the body.
Foxer Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 That's a cool looking vehicle, and even has an engine despite the small scale!
Brizio Posted February 19, 2015 Author Posted February 19, 2015 (edited) That's a cool looking vehicle, and even has an engine despite the small scale! The molding is not the best, there are some spacing when assembling, but there are a lot of details for sure, compared with some other Italeri kit. I replaced the rear spring with some "Hevy Duty"... I forgot to attach the picture... Edited February 19, 2015 by Brizio
Brizio Posted February 20, 2015 Author Posted February 20, 2015 New body shape. New tires for the back. The left one is resized, not is time to do the right one.
Brizio Posted February 21, 2015 Author Posted February 21, 2015 Test fitting some parts on the chassis. The bottom with exhaust bracket. Rear tires. Drilled some holes like in the 1/1 car.
Brizio Posted February 22, 2015 Author Posted February 22, 2015 The 4 cyl engine. Air Filter. Exhaust...
Dirty Dave Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 I love the "twist" this build has taken. I look forward to seeing what's next!
Twokidsnosleep Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Hmm, very interesting All was going along quietly when suddenly the gamma rays hit and it morphed into a ,a, a monster!!
rsxse240 Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Is the air filter made out of one of those silica canisters from a pill bottle? Pretty cool build so far!
Brizio Posted February 23, 2015 Author Posted February 23, 2015 Thank you Guys!!! @Ken, yes it is!!! Good eye! I made some room for the engine...
Brizio Posted February 27, 2015 Author Posted February 27, 2015 New windshield and exhaust. Expanded front fender., box and made a new windshield frame. Finished the doors. Add taillight, wire and closed the original exit for the exhaust. View of the interior. Removed the bumper.

om617 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Cool stuff you got going here. Excited to see more of the engine, very nice details
Twokidsnosleep Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 can't wait to see what else you come up with for this build
Dirty Dave Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 One of my current favorites in the Under Construction section.
James2 Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Interesting. What material are you using for the body and spring mods? It looks like card stock?
Brizio Posted March 1, 2015 Author Posted March 1, 2015 More painting. Engine and exhaust painted. Seats. Front and spare tire. Rear tires.
Brizio Posted March 1, 2015 Author Posted March 1, 2015 The engine... It is an Abbarth engine! More powerful!!!
Dirty Dave Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 If that's an Abarth engine, I'd expect to see a finned, large-capacity oil pan. I am really enjoying watching this build come together. Maybe when yours is done, we can stage a war game/drag race?
