  1. Hello all, I've been here before but its been a LOOOOOOOONG TIME. I am really thinking about getting back into it and am looking at possibly getting my kiddos into it this time. My daughter especially wants to do it (shes 8). I put the models up for a long time when they were getting past the newborn baby stage and into the "I'm going to touch everything stage". I never sold the models as I knew I wanted to come back to the hobby eventually and am really giving it some thought now. I hope everyone is doing well and am looking forward to meeting new people here again. Again, since I've forgotten how to do most of the posting pics and stuff here, I may need some help from all y'all veterans on this page. Best regards to all! Looking forward to meeting yall! -Ozzy
  2. that was actually his first model from a car show. I didn't build that. I built him his first ever model. That one was just his first car show model. Its broken now but still goes on display.
  3. This is the link on the facebook revell website: *see above. Virgil beat you by a few minutes* ENJOY!
  4. So as I build my models, my son ALWAYS manges to get into my builds. Now, I have him just messing with some of my spare pieces to have him away from my important builds and at the same time he feels he doing models with me. Its a pretty cool sight.
  5. I'm actually gonna just hack it out and see what I get. If it looks bad then I'll cut my losses but gain an experience.
  6. I'm already figuring as much. Oh well, I might as well try my luck to get a hankerin for figuring out fit issues. Good learing experience I guess...
  7. So I recently bought Revell's Enzo Ferrari with the urge to get out of my muscle car fix and do a super car. I take it out and start sanding the little bits off from the tree and when I go to check how the hatch fits on the body it wants to pop up. Here we go again. Its ok though because this one will be box stock and I can give my brain a rest from going to insanely custom. However I feel that this one will be a sanding monster. I'm still trying not to spend 50 bucks on a tamiya kit unless its Christmas or something.
  8. I'm an active duty aircraft mechanic in the Marine Corps and a full time dad and husband.
  9. So it has been a while and I have taken some time to paint some warhammer miniatures but I am back in action doing models again and it feels good... here are the most recent pics for this build. Hope yall like'em comments as always are welcome also this is only the second mist coat. I am not done with the final coats yet
  10. Man I absolutely LOVE that superbee. I've been recently looking at that kit and trying to figure out a way to build it and you sure got it.

That looks very nice. So simple yet so mean at the same time
  12. That looks so so so good. I only wish I could get on that level. My one question is this: what kind of program or whatever do you use to make those homemade decals? I've been wanting to do that for ages just haven't got the courage to f*** up a really good build with some decals that might stick on the finish and then just break while applying. Any help? Thank you.
  13. gaps filled and sanded ready for the placing of the decal, only its not gonna sit on top there. I'm gonna carve into the dash inlay and set it in the back and then 5 minute over it so it'll dry clear like a glass over it.
  14. thats lookin sharp. I LOVE the black on it
  15. I'm gonna be painting it metallic blue "X-13" color and a two tone interior "X-23" and "X-18" with updated gauges and yes that linkage came straight from that kit
  16. Hey all just wondering if anyone was in the area and knew of model clubs nearby?
