  1. That's not what I was gonna say. ?
  2. I'd say you were the beneficiary of a pleasant surprise, Dave. How often does that happen? ?
  3. I had a black and white '56 Royal Lancer that a perfect stranger gave me. He was an old guy( kinda like me now ?) and saw I was driving my Desoto so he thought "he will appreciate this". And if I wanted to spend 50 bucks, a '56 FURY would be mine. I had no idea at the time. I didn't know how special it was. The Dodge was a parts car, nothing more. I didn't go back for the Plymouth. My tiny yard wouldn't accommodate another set of wheels. ?
  4. Thanks, David, pink and black was my first choice but I didn't have any pink enamel for the wheel covers. Did you know Testor's "turquoise" is a dead ringer...?never mind.
  5. Actually, Lenny, I think orange would look fabulous on this body style. It deserves a flashy paint job. And orange with lots of chrome? Awesome. Too late. ☺️
  6. It's a good one, mostly, but we shall see. The interior assembly needs to be tested yet with glass in place but I don't expect any problems. Thanks for your comments.
  7. Sound like the bars are stacked on top of one another....?...OK, that's possible ?
  8. Oh. Ah ha. What happens on George Street stays on George Street. Am I right?
  9. They don't have that stuff way up north ?
  10. I could see myself getting completely lost and confused with all that, Bil, but it's a mock-upper's wet dream. I have a similar mess of A, T and '32 junk. One day.....one day....
  11. The wheelbase on the pickup seems a tad short. Is it me?
  12. I don't love the way it looks in this photo, Bil. It looks like a cloudy day here. After I finish the detailing I'll get some shots with better lighting.
  13. Guess what color I've chosen for this car ? Nope, not orange.... That's right! Tamiya "coral blue!" Very good, Lenny. Not much going on here but the wheel covers are detailed and the interior parts are being detailed. The body is molded cleanly with the least mold abberations I've seen in quite a while. Only one little spot where the driver's side mirror will be located. After that gets sanded the body will be ready for primer. The white primer will be covered with gloss clear in the rear insets/rear lower panel and the roof. I hope.
  14. That would be " chromatically challenged", Len. Let's be sensitive. ?
  15. I must be using a cheap search engine. Well there ya go! Tubbed and slammed in the weeds. ?
  16. Looking good now....don't forget to sand your tires ?.
  17. The 'Vette looks like "Hemi Orange" to me, Len. They both look terrific from here!
  18. Waste not, want not.....? The color on the 'Vette reminds me of Speghetti-Os.
  19. Yeah, see? It looks like a Crown Royal bottle. It's a doo-over. ?
  20. I was expecting "ew....gold?". I had to find out what this would look like. ? I tried that '29 roadster with fenders and I totally hated it. No more A-bones with fenders for me. Or deuces. That's why I like those Revell kits - no fenders. ?
  21. Curses.... foiled again! Ok, I didn't curse much but I did get some foil on the door panels. There's a little on the dash too. Thanks for looking. o k
  22. Yes, Lenny, that's the plan. ?....the interior parts went in the dehydrator yesterday; they were still sticky. I'll be playing with that today. I need a completion to justify my existence.
  23. When the exterior is this color there aren't many choices. I thought maybe all white but that made me feel like i would be taking the lazy way out. The dash needed to be body color so...here we are. For now.
  24. So....time for snow tires pretty soon?
