early 70s Chevy 250 straight 6?
tvandmoviecars replied to tvandmoviecars's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
72 Nova... depicting the car I had in Highschool, when it was new/restored.. which sadly, I never seen happen. -
Pintos were good and bad... we had 2 that were great little cars, and 1 that was a rust bucket... I've owened 2 Musdtang IIs..sure they werent race cars, but I liked them. The fiesta and Contour were budget cars.. plain and simple... my aunt drove a contour for YEARS. Ad for trucks.. I STILL see Ford Trucks from the 70s being used as daily drivers.... I agree that all Chevy's suck though!<LOL>

early 70s Chevy 250 straight 6?
tvandmoviecars replied to tvandmoviecars's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
if I ecall, that trumpeter is crazy $$$ compared to a regular kit... BUT, I migt maybe have the Chevy.. I know I have SOME old Chevy trucks around here. otherwise it'll be a curbside for now!<LOL next gotta find some good bench seats for a 72 nova... I found 2 from a older car in my parts box that match.. and was able to fill the seam (split benches).. but then the sprimer sputtered and I have to resand em... although the texture is great for the carpets!<LOL> -
hope so.. I just ordered 2 hoods and 3 dashes from him, earlier today... fyi.. the OTHER place (NOT Missing Link, a different resin caster) that I bought from on ebay, the same hoods in December and never got.... sent me a refund today, after I asked the status... so we are all good.

Mystery kits!?
tvandmoviecars replied to tvandmoviecars's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
thanks... now, is this the same kit as hope so... kit is sealed for now, and dont feel like climbing up there (stored on shelf 7-8 foot up, behind a bunch of things.) Mostly worried about the hood/engine having a stock option. -

so that Palmer kit.. are those decals that came with it.. or just something a kid slapped on there? Is it a valuable kit? appears I paid original sticker price for it, when I got it in the 90s!<LOL> thanks for IDing it.. I had no clue WHAT it was!<LOL> as for the Camaro.. I do not recall what release it was... that is hwat I am trying to figure out.... no, the Johan Mopar already has a "good home".... MINE!<LOL> Where it can live out it's golden years surrounded by other MOPARS!<LOL> when was this released, last time? -
Mystery kits!?
tvandmoviecars replied to tvandmoviecars's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
that's because I built the Camaro!<LOL> Anyone got a photo fo the box art of this release? I think i did it in the early 80s... I will not be "restoring it", but might biuld a new version of it.. as I plan to do with some other kits I have repurchased (some later issues, some the exact same release that i built originally)... not sure, but is this the same kit, but a re-issue? (bottom left Camaro kit.) -
strange.. thought I was replying to the thread about this that I started.... no clue why it dug up a old thread.... even stranger... my thread is gone.... guess a mod didnt want a rerun, and tacked my reply onto this old thread!?

does anyone make a stock hood for this? Or factory stock decals? We had 1 when I was a kid, and would love to replicate it. also what would be a good donor kit for seats, etc.. it's probably just going to be a curbside.... is a maverick the same inside? I ask because my uncle owns a real one, and I have easy access to it, for reference, if so.

does anyone make 1?

Mystery kits!?
tvandmoviecars replied to tvandmoviecars's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
this should be the easiest one.... I would love to do another, as this was 1 of my EARLY YEARS attempt at "customizing" a model... although PAINT appearantly wasnt a customization I wanted to do!<LOL> It was molded in Orange! I THINK it was a AMT or MPC... -

yeah, I am a yohan fan too.. they did a lot of ugly and unpopular cars (read.. NOT a mustang or camaro).... and I have a few on the shelf, myself. -

2nd is a TOTAL mystery..... it's a really bizarre 69 Charger..... not sure if it was a model, a toy or what... -
Wasnt sure where this SHOULD be, so I am poutting it here.. I was going through the dusty cobwebs today....... the garage, not my mind <LOL>, and found a few buildups I was wondering about..... The 1st and 2nd, I bought already built, and kow NOTHING about.... thinking the 1st MIGHT be a Lindberg!?!? I bought it as a buildup at least 15 years ago.....

Lots of flash, (Althoug have seen worse), edges that I felt were too sharp, and chassis was minimal.. might see how the AMT chassis "lines up".. I won this kit and would like to build a replica of a friend's car... but, time will tell.

73/74 Plymouth Satellite parts
tvandmoviecars replied to Rob Hall's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
just ordered 2 hoods and 3 dashes from "Harts Parts"... I would have gotten from Missing LInk... but I really needed the dashes too, and this was all same shipping for 5 parts.. hoping for the best.... have Missing Links info too,in case of problems with THIS order, like I did with the other hoods I ordered from the OTHER company... -
wohoo.. hoping they will be at Hobby Lobby and Hobby Town USA, since I am too poor to go to any shows lately... and i could really use "more" of this... I LOOOOOVE 4 doors and Wagons!! I think 2 are built, and 1 was built, but I stripped the paint for a rebuild (think that is the Hobby Heaven one.) yes.. I know it's dusty. this is the one that has had the body stripped... guess that leaves me only 2 left to build.. glad they are coming out again!<LOL>

I tried what I THINK is your site, but wasnt getting anything to pull uop on the parts page.... I see you are HIGHLY recommended, and active on here... not so sure about the other resincaster mentioned in another thread that does the dash.. can you send me a working link to your site, so I can see what you have, and prices? thanks tried to get prices etc on the 4 door fury, but all I got from a front photo and no info.

Used ot talk to these guys all the time over on Prodigy.com's Modeling board... Jerry was from near KING OF PRUSSIA, PA (seen him last in 1997), Bob was from YORK, VA, seen him last in 1999, I think. if either of ya show up... I did find James Duff.... he was buried under a pile of cop car models, and surviving on AMT Joker Goon car tires.... since they aren't much good for anything else!<LOL>
