MY ENTRY: Season 4 episode "Goodbye General Lee". This is the car Luke picks to replace the General Lee...after being hypnotized by Boss Hogg's hypnotist. hard part will be finding a pale enough yellow.. not sure if this is a factory color, or not. if time and my stash allows.. I MIGHT also do the car as Luke "envisions" it to be, once done... or at least how I see it as he sees it!<LOL>

The twist is.. ANY CAR, Truck, etc... seen on any episode of THE DUKES OF HAZZARD (including tv reunions, the theatrical movie, and the direct to DVD movie).. but NO General Lees!!! Please include a still of the car you want to build with your submission, if possible. Janauary 26, 2013 end date, because that is the 34th anniversary of the 1st airing of the 1st episode. Feel free to enter as many cars as you wish.. and if you have ALREADY built a car, you can post that here too.. just make sure you post that it is an already finished car... edit: If you wish to build the General Lee in 1 of his OUT OF UNIFORM episodes or scenes.. that is fine... just not as a fully uniformed General Lee, as we all know it.

Show I was at this weekend. I put on the model car part of the show.... sure hope we have a lot more entrants next year. if you do the monaco wagon "clean".. love to see it repopped in Resin... got at least 2 projects I would love to do based on a mnaco wagon.

nicest thing about Resin is.. you can get cars that were never kitted.. or that havent been kitted in decades... I have purchased cars like a 4 door 68 satellite, a 60s Dodge Van, and a phantom Dodge full sized modern SUV based on the Dodge Truck snap kit from about 10 years ago. oh... and HEY ART!!! LTNS!!! anyone out there making grille and headlight conversion parts for the monaco? Also anyone make a CORRECT interior tub? that 2 door tub still bugs me.

anyone familiar with his 73/74 "GTX" conversion parts, to make a stock satellite? How reliable is he as far as shipping items? I bought hoods from another esin caster in december... and STILL waiting...

Anyone make them? Or are they in any "part boxes" out there? I want to make the '74 Plymouth "gtx" into a satellite, and biggest obstacle is the hood.. and the incorrect dash.. that is my next question.. any kits have the correct one? "borrowed" a chassis from my 69 Charger "beater" from a few years ago... so I could get it "done enough" to show as a "wreck" at a MOPAR model car show (in conjunction with a REAL Mopar show). Every time I was at the table almost... people were commenting on the car... I ended up getting 2nd place, although I don't know why..... (I did not say it was MY car.. until AFTER the people making comments had submitted thier votes. It's not DONE yet.. I am planning to make it as a "mad max/road warrior/zombie apocolypse type vehicle... but it may end up a junker... I still have a lot of interior work to do, also.

I was going through my built models looking for car for a show next weekend, that I havent had at the show before, or recently... and I found a box of some of my best/favorite cars... including this one that I have been LOOKING for, to post in this thread. I actually built it 5-10 years ago, but thought I would share it, since it fits in here. not sure how it got dusty inside a box, that was inside ANOTHER box... but left it that way, since I figure not many CLEAN cars in a zombie apocolyse!<LOL>

I have added 2 washes so far.. a lighter tan and a brown.. and added some splashs of "mud" behind the tires... if I can find my bottles of paint stash, I will be doing a "flat black" wash.. that really adds bit to the rust.. also have "rust" and a plethora of browns if I can find the right box.... I really like using "rubber" as part of my weathering. here are prior weathered cars I did. but for some reason my MOPAR CAR CLUB SHOW won't allow me to enter these!<LOL>

ok, only the chassis is from the Bootlegger truck, the body and suspension are from a baggie kit only found 3 outside rims, so we may have a problem... not sure yet what to do.. either gotta go with smaller tires, or SOMEHOW find a 4th rim... and I dont have resin or the experience with resin, to repop one... and model show is a week and 2 days away.. got this and a car, and some repairs to do in that time. hmm.. got a Monogram Ram Charger .. wonder if those tires & rims would fit? I dont have/build a lot of trucks, so my partsbox is pretty limited there. trying to decide what color to go with... leaning heavy towards white, if I can find any garage/gas station type decals to put on it, that would look "era" correct. Wonder if I can find my sinclair gas decals? havent seen em in 10 years.

as she is looking right now... much like my ex mother in law.. she's getting meaner and uglier every day!!

like the seats.. what did you use for stuffing? I have some old foam rubber I got years ago that has been being exposed to light, air, etc for about 10 years (in a paper bag) that I used fr packing models, and will be gluing it inide my seats... the texture and color is identical to the REAL foam in my REAL car that is the same make & model as the model I am building... but I like your seats for older cars...

ok, found this thread tonight and decided to build the car from the Johnny Cash song "The General Lee".... but, I think I overdid it!?!? ok... actually this photo is 5 years old, bu thought I'd post it for "kicks and giggles". fyi.. no 2 of these are alike... different graphics, different oranges, different charger kits, etc. I may really submit a new car at some point, but already have 3 active projects on the table, so it might be a bit.
