  1. Wow, that paint-method on your tail-lights really worked well! Nice job!
  2. Nice build; looking forward to seeing it once you get the hood revised and completed. Did you use parts box tail-lights on this build, and if so, where'd you get 'em? I seem to remember the Revell kit-supplied tail-lights being a real weak-point in this kit, and yours look very good... too good to be the kit-supplied parts!
  3. It's definitely a 1/25 MPC kit; I suspect the box shown behind it is the actual box for the model. I'm thinking it's the 1983 GT
  4. That is a beautiful build. Your paint and detail work are excellent!
  5. This kit is on my, "yet-to-purchase" list. Did you have any difficulties putting it together? Your build and it's paintwork are outstanding!
  6. Beautiful build! Are the tail-lights positioned in the bumperettes? (Nice custom-touch, if they are)!
  7. I'm pretty certain that he'll like it; it's a fantastic build! Does it have the kit-supplied 426 Hemi underneath the hood, or something else?
  8. In all my years of modeling, I have never seen this kit built and painted in the color of Red, or in this case, Bright Red! It looks fantastic; nice job!
  9. Awesome build of some awesome subject matter. You've got one of the best builds of this venerable kit that I have seen in a long time!
  10. Andy, Beautiful build! Your paintwork and detailing are excellent! Give us some info on how you achieved that semi-gloss Black paint on the body.
  11. Clyde, Nicely done, as always with your builds!
  12. I hadn't considered getting this kit, but, now after seeing your build-up, I think its gonna be on my "go out and get" list. Nice job. I agree with others; it really looks good in the Purple paint color!
  13. Wow! This is the finest build that I have ever seen of the Revell/Monogram series of '69/'70 Mustang kits... and I've seen a lot of these kits built over the years! Your detail and paint work are both amazing! Are those the kit-supplied wheels?
  14. Beautiful build! My favorite era of Nascar racers! You're #34 number decals are nice and opaque on that Bright Red body; what set of decals did you use, and did you have to double-them to get that opaqueness?
  15. Do you mean $50.00 for an original, AMT 65 Impala hardtop kit, or do you mean the Revell/Monogram issue released in the late-1990's? Your statement confused me a little bit. Are the late-1990's Revell/Monogram kits going for that much money now?
  16. I like it! The extra-deep-chop on the roof makes it hard to see that great looking interior when the model's all put-together!
  17. Love this build! Give us some more info on it; where'd that body come from, or did you modify/scratchbuilt it? What's it got for a powerplant? Flathead V-8? More pics would be great too!
  18. Also, is the driveshaft molded directly into the main chassis piece on this kit?
  19. Can anyone enlighten me as to what that extra-large piece is at the bottom of the Chrome tree? I can see another Chrome piece in the photos that has been separated from the tree; it looks like those 2 pieces glue together to make a (?)... extra-large chrome gasser-style fuel tank?
  20. Awesome build! It doesn't look like it could be in 1/43rd! Fantastic work for a fantastic race car!
  21. An excellent build of a challenging kit! It turned out great! Did you Dullcoat the chrome bumpers, or are they repainted, and if so, what color paint did you use on them?
  22. Boy, ain't that the truth!
  23. Great build; and the best part; a rock-solid connection and memory with your daughter! I raised 2 of them; now they're both grown up and have started their own lives, but I still have some memories like these! Good job, dad!
  24. A nice, nice build! I wish I could find an affordable MPC Vega kit to build or a built-up to restore. My 1:1, 1973 Vega worked pretty well for me while I was in college. Until the cold, rainy, October, Saturday night when my buddies and I were out-on-the-town, and 4 of us piled into it to head to another party across town. Once inside the car, the windows started fogging-up, and the poor window defroster couldn't keep up with their excessive hot breaths... and I couldn't see where I was driving. I hit an oversize curb in the median of the road, and nearly tore the entire front suspension off of the car! My dad wasn't too happy about having to get outta bed at midnight on a cold and rainy October's night to come and get us!
  25. It'd be fantastic if the newly-tooled Goodyears were inside this reissue, but every description that I have read regarding the reissue for this kit still mentions the Firestones as the tires included...
