Here is a late model that I will be working on slowly
MadKawDisease replied to J Smith's topic in WIP: Model Cars
No problem sno-man , I missed the latest on Waltrip, What did NASCAR find out about the stuff in his intake manifold? I heard a blurb on t.v. the other night but didn't have time to watch the whole story. -

I think you misunder stood me sno-man. I wasn't trying to be mean. I just assume that you are into NASCAR and might not follow drag raceing. I don't like toyota running in NASCAR or NHRA. I'm realy disapointed in the fact that Michel Waltrip runs a toyota, I've always been one of his fans. Other than him I watch Tony Stewert. I didn't mean any disrespect to you. Congrats on the new baby J Smith !! I'll be watching for the build on your late model. -

I've seen the paint your talking about, but haven't perchased as of yet. I'd be very interested in reading how your fender comes out. Good Luck. -

Who here uses PPG automotive clear on their models?
MadKawDisease replied to Matt T.'s topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
If you do decide to use the urethane clear, make sure you buy a good cartridge respirator ,There cheap and will last a long time if you keep it sealed in a zip lock bag when not in use, and the cartridge can be replaced cheaply. The paper ones don't remove the harmfull fumes. Paper is for dust only ! -
I like to use the Evercoat 417 , Its a two part putty that sands relatively easy. But you should always prime and resand any puttyed areas. Less is better.

MadKawDisease replied to gasman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Just a thought, Some times its better to invest a little more in a tool knowing that you may never have to replace it again than it is if you have to keep replaceing cheeper tools and ultimently paying more in the long run. -

white or tan kits
MadKawDisease replied to charlie's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I haven't worked with any tan kits yet, butt , I do like the lite grey kits better then white. It should be a crime to mold a kit in any dark color ! lol.
